starfleets central HQ had been under sieged by the power of the decepticons. megatron and his comrades easily breach the defenses by stealthing themselves as federation fighter wings and supply shuttle crafts. before the total take over and power shutdown, the command center sent out a distress beacon for all star ships to return to base 001 earth and rescue starfleet from the attack. unfortunately, most of the heavy cruisers and galaxy class ships are several hundreds of light years away. that's enough time for megaton to finish up his purpose of plundering the starbase and continuing on with his plan. megaton plans to use the antimatter core and fission reactors to fill up multiple energon cubes for their ship so that it can open a portal back to the planet cybortron where an army of decepticons wait for the attack on earth. it so happens that his ship was damaged by being tailed by the autobots. however, the decepticons won that battle, and no autobot will be here until several more days.
so megatron has the following under his current command.
the only reason why you see galvatron is because in this battle, megatron had already tasted the upgrades from unicron, meaning at a certain power level he can instantly morph into galvatron at will. how? well, that's what some of the antimatter is going to be used for. the transformers feed off of energon which is converted from antimatter in the cartoon series. when megatron is in his galvatron from, he will be a lot more powerful. devastator is a combined might of 5 other decepticons called constructicons. their link is up above. and when combined into devastator, they are very powerful.
there was only one starship close enough to the vicinity. the u.s.s enterprise
the galaxy class 1701-D was only 40 lightyears away. at warp 9.0, they would enter system 001 in less than an hour. while on their way there, piccard and crew devise a strategy to counter the enemy with the information provided by the HQs.
transmission - *static* ..... "i repeat... this is an emer---cy distre--ss for all st-ars-hi-- near the 001 system to return for our aid.... ----need assistance ------- giant robots -disguised--shi--- ... anitmatter weap--ns.... 7 of them.." *end transmission*
picard - "status mr. data."
data - "it appears that starbase 001 is being attacked by what seems to be a party of robots of enormous size. due to the quality of the transmission, however; we were unable to process the rest of the encrypted message. I have hypothesized that it could be because the message had been cut off by the attackers by cutting off the base's main power supply.
riker - "but they should have auxiliary back up. you sure it isn't interference by some kind of subspace dampening filed.. like that hyper-tachyon field we bumped into earlier?"
data - "intriguing commander... hyper tachyonic fields are not likely to be in this space time continuum, and it is only generated by an out side source which opening a gate way from the opposite space to our own."
dr. crusher -"could it be borg?"
laforge - "naaw.. borgs use a transwarp conduit to channel subspace intergalactic fileds to open a wormwhole by folding two points of space together. these leave tachyon signature traces, but not hyper tachyon."
data - "that is correct. a megaversal portal. would be a more suitable term to describe the origins of this wormhole... whatever it is that we are about to encounter, captain.. is not from our universe.
picard - "i see... so what is it that we are dealing with afterall? if not borg... then what?... counselor, do you sense any sentential life forms?
troy - "no, i'm not sensing anything.. absolutely nothing... just emptiness as though nothing were there."
picard - "...... mr. laforge is it possible to find and pin point the exact location of the origin from where these hyper tachyon traces came from?"
laforge - "yes captain, it would probably take some time. give or take an hour at the most."
picard - "very well, make it so. mr. data, assist commander laforge and once that's finished, find a way to calibrate our weapons and defenses to counter these...... robots in disguise..."
Like I said in the other threads I responded to. It would take a good amount of time to stay locked on on the targets to vaporize them. I don't know what material the Decepticons are made out of, but the Enterprise D standard weapon are photon antimatter/matter charged torpedoes and several type-X phaser arrays and anti-matter cannons. And what is the Decepticon's power output? Each of them are only about 20 feet tall, save Devastator who might actually be 50 to 100 feet tall. But the Enterprise D is over 600 km big. And has a shield out put of several trillions of joules.
I think I'll agree here. It's obvious that most of the prep is going to the Decepticons. The Enterprise only has what? an hour of prep? Hmm.. Is that enough? Well for now, I'll lean towards the Decepticons too.

well put there mr. data lol. i'm not overaly familiar with the armor the transformers are made of, but if anyone could help out, it would be apperciated. the reason why i made this battle is becuase i know that the transformers rely on antimatter for power. star trek is well resourced with it. and for your information, i think that the 20 feet tall robots your talking about are the car version autobots. most of the decepticaons are far bigger like the F-15's are 30 feet long. when transformed into a man form they would be up to 50-60 feet tall. devistator can be up to 40 to 50 stories tall.

ah, i guess answers the question. assuming how fast data can calculate and how well geodi, barclay & o'brian can come up with a suitable device plus the leadership and plot manipulation of the captain will determine the outcome of the enterprise. so basically, this is up to you. do you think piccard's crew is smart enough to utilize their preptime? just remember that their world is under attack and their can be desprate measures for desprate times.
Do the Decepticons have any technology that the Enterprise D hasn't seen before? I read the Decepticons bios and the only threat I saw was Megatron's anti-matter cannon. There's only one teleporter amongst the Decepticons and several with jets and sonic weapons that would be pretty useless in a space battle. I'd say the Enterprise could figure out how to scan for energon and would not be fooled by transformations after that. The computers and Data on the Enterprise are going to be able to repel cyber attacks.
I'm going to say Enterprise. The Decepticons are sitting ducks while they wait to gather and convert antimatter. If they can't resist being beamed into space (or into the sun or into pieces) then they go down hard.
Reading the title, I was going to guess the Decepticons, but I think the specific battle is actually tilted towards the Enterprise. Not enough Decepticons to make a difference, they only get half their supplies, and the Enterprise gets prep.
I think it would take a full fleet of Decepticons to beat them--maybe 50? Or 20 normals plus 5 combiners?
