Agreed.  I think Kyle takes John, and Hal can handle either of them.  I don't even think it would be all that close. "

Yeah, no. We know Sodam yat will become a Guardian and he nowhere near the level of Hal or John, and if he were normal human, would get owned pretty quickly. Hal Jordan was offered the crimson mantle of command after defeating Krona and Nekron, something no lantern before or after him was offered again.  Alpha lanterns have nothing to do with their abilities, it has to do with their sense of justice. Either Hal or John would have owned any of the Alpha Lanterns while they were normal.  Try again. "

Hal and John fought in GL:Mosaic 5 Mind War. Hal was jealous that John took his girl and thought John was manipulating Rose against her will, so tried to probe John's mind without his permission...

They fought with ring constructs, then turned it into a kind of Astral battle in a way..........

John and Hal fought again in an Annual where Hal was possessed by Eclipso.......

It was inconclusive, and multiple GL's were fighting Star Sapphire and Hal at the same time (though briefly in the fight Hal and John went at it one on one).

It was noted in this fight that Eclipso wasn't as good of a ring weidler as Hal, so Hal(Eclipso) and Star Sapphire blasted a diversion to escape..........

John and Hal fought in a different instance in the GL Special, over a dispute in a foreign country.......

It was inconclusive as well, both got good hits in though.............

They stopped fighting to solve the problems going on around them..................

With current writing it could go either way, but I'm on John's side...............
