Huh? Sasuke Kirin was a giant collection of lightning bolts. If Itachi could react to that, I see no reason why he wouldn't be able to react to Zoro,who really isn't a "speed blitzing" character. Also, I'm not saying Susanoo is invincible, I'm saying Zoro doesn't have the power to break through it.

@stardustcrusader: Kirin is natural lightning hence speed of lightning which Luffy surpassed in Gear 2nd before the time skip.Not to mention Zoro has blitzed before but the Post Time Skip Pacifista fight is the one that comes to mind.

His combination move with Luffy was strong enough to make an opening through the Aqua Laguna, also overpowered Kaku's Amanedachi with Asura and deflected a punch from Oars with his raw strength.

Not to mention cutting up giant monsters with ease pre time skip.

Through power scaling ,Zoro can blitz Itachi before Itachi can even set up Susanoo and outlast Susanoo.

1.Enel is a lightning logia.He out speeded him,but Luffy can react to it.CP9 completely blitzed The Strawhats including Luffy.Luffy learns Gear 2nd and completely out stats Blueno who was the one that blitzed Luffy.

Post Tme Skip Zoro is far above Luffy preTimeSkip,but assuming the least,he's faster.

2.You don't need to be completely mountain level to hurt itachi.Mountain level is enough to destroy A incomplete susanoo.Not to injure.He's also defeated a Pacifista(stronger than the prototype Pacifista who wrecked up Luffy,Sanji,and Zoro to complete exhaustion) in 1 hit.

Edit:It wouldn't even matter since Zoro would straight up blitz Itachi to do anything.

Also to mention before he deflected Oars punch.Oars has giant fists easily capable of destroying large chunks of steel without even stretching.PreTimeskip

Round 1: As much as I hate to admit it (mostly because of how much I hate the character), Itachi would win against Zoro. Itachi has better movement and combat speed from his years of ninja conditioning and being a ninja prodigy. Even without Genjutsu (no Tsukiyomi or Izanami). Itachi's arsenal of ninjutsu would be to much for Zoro to handle, when coupled with Itachi's physical prowess.

Round 2: Zoro would not be able to beat the Thing, especially if we're talking about Thing at his peak (not counting Fear Itself). Itachi is a maybe when it comes to the Thing. While Itachi really can't physically go up against the Thing (the guy spars with Hulk fgs), if given access to his Genjutsu, he could make quick work of the ever lovin' blue-eyed Thing (no TP/illusion block iirc)

Zoro breaking through Susanoo.. alot of PIS or PIBS.. would need to be involved. Still Itachi.

Susanoo's cutting ability isn't impressive nor does it require mountain> to damage it.Susanoo only cut through refined steel level bones and Orochimaru's snakes.None of those feats compare to One Piece's striking power and I told you we were taking this to PM's

Zoro doesn't know a thing about Susanoo knowing Zoro he's going to block Susanoos weapon with his own.. Which will lead to him being Zealed GG Sharigan read movements GG plus Susanoo GG..
