Morals Off
Samus Has Her Paralyzer Gun.
Who Wins?
Um zero suit is probably just as capable physically with better tech. Id give it to ZSS but she lacks fears
Samus stomps
Samus grew up on a planet with 866 times the gravity of earth. Just to jump on that planet, she'd have to move her legs at mach 30, and she can maneuver at that speed. And yes, she has been shown on that planet in her zero suit and can move just as easy as she can in her power suit.
So, tell me, is Catwoman going to survive a mach 30+ attack, let alone what Samus would be capable of in normal gravity?
Samus Stomps.
Samus has been fused with Chozo DNA, which makes her above superhuman strength and in the manga, as a toddler, she was able to leap off cliffs and run great speeds, given the fact that the planet she was on is much more heavy than earths.
@boringperson: i dont thing her being 6'2" is still canon cause in other m shes shorter than all the guys and but she would still win either way

Don't try and apply real world logic, that kind of thinking has been picked apart, if Samus has moments of superstrength agility without the suit fine but as far as I am aware that's a pile of fan BS simply based on the planet being larger and nothing else.

Why would they give the gravity number, if not to show she can withstand it?
Its a feat imo
But thats only if they gave the number, which I think they did because why would they estimate the gravity to 866, and its not like you can figure gravity from size anyway.
It could be big and not dense, like some planets, dont know any examples though
or Small and dense, like say , King Kai's Planet
@easternwind: I went through this with someone before and it appeared to be a fan calc based purely on the size of the planet.
If she is superhumanly strong or agile without the suit then there should be examples of that?
@dextersinister: Zebes has a mass of 4.8 trillion teratons. That's a pretty simple extrapolation, considering Earth is 5.9 sextillion tons. But even if we don't go for simple things like that, we can still say she grew up in an environment with a hell of a lot more gravity than ours, which also suffers from horrific acid rain and a harsh environment that Samus survived in and adapted too.
@web_flotsam: If you apply logic like that then she should die in an atmosphere with less gravity.
Mass Effect put thought into the affects of differing gravity, is there any examples the writer of Metroid did or is this merely a case of fans applying real world logic when it cannot be applied.
@darkgenex: Hopefully, someone will get the context eventually ;)
Gentlemen, the real question here is who is hotter?
@web_flotsam: That kind of logic only works for about 1% of science fiction characters, and actually it's probably a lot less then that too. The main two I can think of are John Carpenter and Charlie-27, because both of their characters enhanced stats are actually a result of growing up with higher gravity. The difference is that those characters have actually been described as being faster and stronger because of their home planets gravity. There is nothing that says that this applies to Samus, and she also lacks any feats to support that she has that level of stats. If we used this logic, then the feats of every science fiction characters should be re-calculated based on the planet they are currently on, but writers don't take the time to factor this in, and just have the characters use base stats no matter where they are, because it's not necessary to worry that much about real life physics in a fictional universe. The stats you brought up from her should not be relevant for any battle, until she actually performs feats at that level.
@superlightning123: which version of zero suit samus? zero mission, brawl or the new smash bros
@dextersinister: @tparks: Okay, quick question. Why would they even bring up the mass of the planet if that wasn't their intent? Why even have the emphasis? I'm not saying Samus is 866 times stronger than an ordinary human, because that difference in gravity is found by doing calculations, but she's definitely superhuman.

She may be superhuman, but I don't see gravity having anything to do with it. That's just world building for a story. Details of the universe that a character is in is apart of all forms of fictional universes.
Samus wins, and ends in sex. And we all win at the end. LOL.
