Zero (Megaman X Series) vs Silver (Sonic Series)

I don't really know anything about Zero and I never played any new Sonic game that came out after the Sonic Adventure games so I don't know anything about Silver except that he's from the future or something. So what can each of them do (though I think I have an idea of what Silver can do since he's a hedgehog but I don't know everything)?
