Yes, and again - pretty obviously, they got stronger through the arc - but what exactly are you saying did he do during this timespan (post raditz fight to frieza's arrival), that jumped his power level all the way to matching first form frieza?

"Just started getting stronger" by what, exactly? He had no serious fights between the two.

Either way, since this is between racoom fight and frieza fight, he solos pretty handily.

After Goku gave Vegeta a Senzu Bean, the Zenkai somehow jumped him up to Freeza's level. The reason he was still impressed with Goku was because Toriyama didn't plan ahead that Vegeta would be matching Freeza, he just had Freeza show up at the end of one chapter and needed someone to fight him, so suddenly Vegeta is at that level. It's strong PIS but the fact remains. During the same fight Krillin and Gohan were stated by Vegeta to have been growing stronger, and IIRC their power levels were suddenly like 70,000, so dbzk1999 is right about that.

Vegeta post racoom fight can slaughter jeice, beat up ginyu/goku without trouble and match first form frieza - that's the only definite thing we have. So He's more than enough to solo.

Why? The only time he fought seriously after this zenkai was against frieza. If you're saying he was not that strong after racoom fight, you need to prove it. He didn't undergo any training, serious fights, or virtually anything that can affect his power level as vastly as you're saying in the timespan.

Context: after Jheese freaks out over Vegeta's new battle power

Vegeta: “That’s right…I’ve surpassed Saiyan limits, and MY STRENGTH IS STILL INCREASING MORE AND MORE....The truth is that I’ve realized it too…That this extension of my power isn’t merely what you’d call giftedness…In other words…I’m steadily drawing near…to becoming a Super Saiyan!”

The hard part is, you're declaring "he'll likely lose to ginyu" when he should slaughter ginyu without much effort after the zenkai. Even if his power was rising steadily, the zenkai itself had to be massive if he was even in the same ballpark as frieza.

Ginyu is about 1,20,000. Frieza is over 5,00,000.

Basically, ginyu with goku's strength is troublesome. Not that he'll lose to him if they went all out. He actually considered himself closer to being a super saiyan thanks to his mentality.

What? He focused on his main objective, and wanted his enemies to die fighting each other. That doesn't relate to lack of power in any manner at all.

GInyu is the only real issue for the Z fighters, Goku and Piccolo can oneshot every other member.
