Which combination from DC/Mavel would make the most fearsome two-man team?

The only stipulations for suggestions is that you must pick one character from DC and one from Marvel, and they must be no higher than street level.

This is not a tournament, just a question.

Iron fist and karate kid

After Reading Scarlet Spider Issue 18, I'm going with Kaine and Wolverine.

I do not think Karate Kid is considered street level?

This right here. Almost unbeatable. (Though some may challenge their status as street levelers.)

Hero team up Spider-man and Batgirl.

Villian team up Carnage and Mr.Freeze.

Spiderman and Batman

@lady_liberty: Street level seems to have different limits depending on who's talking about it, so i guess for this thread you can choose a team within your own view of what is street level.

All good suggestions above. Midnighter/Fantomex combo is debatable for being 'street-level', but still a beast team.

Iron Man + Batman

Tony + Bruce = uber

I don't know how you can beat Bats/Spidey. I think those two would work together/compliment each other very well. Two genius rooftop-runner vigilantes, one with an impressive array of tech and the other with mild super strength and a danger sense. KO

Huntress/Electra for a lady pair, maybe?

Best: midnighter and taskmaster

Coolest: Nightwing and Spiderman

When i said that, i didn't think anybody would suggest Iron Man lol

Do you mind if i ask what you consider to be the upper limit of street level?

I'd consider Iron Man/Spiderman upper limit. I don't think either are world-busters/threats which is the next level up from street level (in my book).

@gav: Ah ok, thanks for the explanation. I think your book may have a few less pages than most other people's ;)

Daredevil and Batman

Winter Soldier and Nightwing

Not exactly street level but Iron Man and Cyborg would be cool, or Cable and Cyborg.

Deathstroke and Deadpool would be an interesting mix

Before I saw the DC and Marvel thing I was just gonna say Samurai Jack and Scotsman.

If they're allowed as street- Spider-man and Midnighter. Both extremely smart and powerful.

If not- Iron Fist and Batman.

#30 Posted by i_like_swords (14021 posts) - - Show Bio

@optimuspalm: Ikr. They've both got that intimidating outfit going on and their both pretty dark and brooding at times. Good match.

@lady_liberty: aren't both these dudes above street level? Definitely Midnighter

#32 Posted by Thedarklordpandamonium (4825 posts) - - Show Bio

@wavemotioncannon:

Midnighter is debatable.

I enjoy going with Floopay's threat level chart:

Floopay's Threat Level Chart

Street Level

Example: Bane

Max of about 5 ton strength or lower

Max of 30-45 mph sprint speeds.

Durability, even with gear, can't resist armor piercing rounds without fear of death.

Can dodge bullets, but not perfectly. Often gets hit by a few projectiles while dodging the majority.

Doesn't have more than about 2-3 powers.

Doesn't have anything more destructive than an RPG.

Can't do much more than read minds, and maybe some hypnosis if they have mental abilities.

If they have telekinesis, can't do much more than move a small objects around.

Street Level+

Example: SpiderMan Max of about 30 tons of strength.

Max of Mach 1 speeds

Durability, even with gear, can't resist armor piercing rounds without fear of at least minor injuries. May be high enough to tank an RPG, but probably isn't feeling top notch afterwards.

Can dodge bullets, even lasers, with precision, very rarely getting hit by any sort of projectile.

Doesn't have more than about 5 powers.

Doesn't have anything more destructive than a block of c4

Can read minds, know moves before they happen, can alter their opponents minds to a degree, probably has hypnosis, and can probably cast illusions with their telepathy.

If they have telekinesis, might be able to pick up a car.

City Level

Example: Miss Marvel Max of about 80 tons of strength

Maximum of Mach 5 speed.

Durability, even with gear, can probably shrug off RPGs without much injury, if any. Could probably take about 20 pounds of C4 with only moderate injuries.

Can dodge most projectiles, getting hit only on the rarest of occasions, and from others who near their threat level.

Doesn't have more than about 10 powers.

Can probably destroy buildings with their powers.

Can mind rape a person if needed. Range is probably an issue for them, can't always read someone if they are a reasonable distance away. Assuming they have telepathy.

If they have telekinesis, can probably collapse small buildings with it, lift Semi-trucks with their trailers, etc.

Planetary Level

Example: World War Hulk

No real limit on strength.

Maximum of about Mach 500 speed.

Durability, even with gear, can go so far as to shrug off nuclear explosions without much issue. A 50 megaton bomb could potentially only leave them with minor wounds.

Tends to only get hit by projectiles and range attacks if they cover a huge range, if they are preoccupied elsewhere, or if they are against someone nearing their threat level.

Can have an arsenal of powers at their disposal.

Can affect entire nations of people with their mental abilities if they have them.

Could probably lift Manhattan if they have telekinesis.

#44 Edited by 106me (1496 posts) - - Show Bio

@thedarklordpandamonium:

That's not completely accurate. Spider-Man has a 30 ton base, and a 50 ton max. He's also clocked Mach 4, and is at least Mach 2 at base. To top it all off, he has building busting feats, which would make him a low end meta.

Also, a level shouldn't depend on the number of powers a characters have. For example, the Hulk has only a handful of powers, yet is considered Herald level.
