Young Justice(Cartoon) vs Chitauri and Loki

Thought this would be an interesting battle. Anyway, 3 scenarios:

Scenario 1: Original Team vs Chitauri

Scenario 2: New Team vs Chitauri

Scenario 3: Original and New Team working together vs Chitauri

These are the animated versions, and Loki is at the power level he was in Thor only in the third scenario. Bloodlusted, morals off. Can they stop the invasion?

Edit: In all 3 scenarios the team has 1 day of prep.

Isn't the Original and New Team just the current team?

@youngjustice: The way I see it, the Originals are the team when the show first started, the new team is the one in the future.

@bee14ish: I mean, the new team lineup was all of the members of the team (Unless you include Zatanna and Rocket, in which no one really does) and the new members, so wouldn't it just be the new team?

@youngjustice: Different versions of the same character. There were two versions of Robin for example, each with abilities and characteristics that separate them from each other.

The team wins, but not through brute force like the Avengers, but rather through infiltration.

I can see this. Considering the Avengers were just a group of superheroes hastily placed together at the time that just so happened to work together when the chips were down...while the YJ team have been working together and training since their inception - it's definitely feasible. All incarnations of the YJ team lack the brute force of the Avengers, but they make up for it in numbers and smarter tactics.

The Avengers used more straightforward tactics when it came to their battle. Thor and Hulk as the heavy hitters took out the Chitauri emerging from the portal and the larger Leviathans. Hawkeye and Cap protected civilians, Iron Man watched the perimeter, and Black Widow disabled the Tesseract. It was mostly basic, but it worked.

In contrast, the Team in Young Justice always opts for more streamlined, covert strategies. The infiltration of Malina Island, ambushing the Light in Santa Prisca, and Nightwing's entire plan. They'd probably try to sneak up on Loki as opposed to engaging him, and then try to turn off the Tesseract.

Original team wins, new team stomps

@veshark: Remember, Loki is pretty powerful, especially in scenario 3 where he is at Thor levels.

Like I said, I don't think they'd actually engage him - they're smarter than that. They'd probably distract him with their stronger members like Superboy, Cassie, and Blue Beetle while the others close the portal. Sort of like the fight with Mongul. Gungnir doesn't really have that many feats to it though, if I recall, it just shoots energy.

I think the Young Justice team could win it. Maybe with more difficulty with Loki than The Avengers had, but I think they could pull it off. Wait... Is the nuclear missile still part of this?

Loki:(to Nightwing) you think your little "Team" will sneak on me? I'm a god pathetic human! (Superboy sneaks up) I'll will not be bullied by---!

(Superboy grabs Loki and smashes him to the ground)

Superboy:(walking off and freeing his teammates) puny god....

Loki:(whimpers)

@gxrevolution96: I don't know if the Speed Force really can outmatch Loki's trickster God alone since he is immortal

I don't want to discredit the Chitauri but we all know they are cannon fodder. I believe a case could be made for them taking out some of the Young Justice team members that don't have super powers but generally the Chitauri get stomped. As for Loki he would be even more cocky than usual till Super boy beat the shit out of him (see hulk comparison above) then Loki would come back (remember he got back up after that beating) and def. kill a few of them before they took him down but Young Justice numbers and wide skill range would win.
