Garrick should take this. He, while not nearly as fast as Barry, is no joke when it comes to speed. He does in fact have some FTL feats (although they are not very common), such as frequently being far and a way faster than both Superman and Powergirl.

I think Jay clearly wins now that the EU is gone

Yoda is barely speed of Hypersonic in combat speeds. Jay would tap dance around Yoda. The idea people think Yoda stands a chance with the speed gap... Shocked.

Using the Force (and Force Speed), Yoda has the ability to see real time in slow motion--much like Jay, but also due to Jay being a meta-human his connection to the speed-force is not as strong as Barry or Wally. Another thing no one has mentioned that beyond his Speed, Jay has the same strength as a normal man. And don't you guys think that Yoda could sence with the Force when Jay's coming? Yoda's Force Clarity is unmatched to anyone else in the Star Wars Universe, besides maybe the Emperor, so Yoda know's Garricks coming before Garrick is on the scene. Yoda's a centuries old Jedi with countless years worth of experience, as where Jay's... What? A normal healthy adult male? He doesn't compare with Yoda on that field. And ever heard of Battle Meditation? Yoda can reduce Jay's will to fight. And as scene in Episode 3, Yoda can directly absorb force power used by someone else and counter it back onto the person who delt it. Why couldn't he do it with the Speed Force? The Force prevails over all!

If this were Kingdom Come Jay, I could undertand the argument, but not run of the mill Jay Garrick

How fast do you think Jay is? You probably think he isn't even supersonic.

Let me put that thought to rest. Not only is Jay at least massively hypersonic (Lightspeed if he strains himself). He knows speed steal as well.

Yoda probably takes a majority round 3, but Jay takes every other round handily.

Actually, I need to know Star Wars characters speeds. I've heard that Grandmaster Luke is light speed, and Yoda is somewhat close to him.

@beware_my_power Even if Jay uses Speed Steal, Yoda still has a plethora of Force powers to use. And like I stated before, Yoda knows that Jay's coming-reguardless of prep time. Add battle meditation to that. Yoda knows he's coming (Either at full speed or walking), weakens Jay will to fight almost to nothing.

Side note: Could Yoda absorb the speed force like he does Force lightning or other force powers? And could the Speed Force be recongnized as part of The Force?

This is bias opinion. Yoda, nor any Jedi for that matter, ever use Battle Meditation where the enemy simply gave up, and there is no feats of Yoda using Battle Meditation to judge from anyway. Grasping at straws.

@jamalski96: No. The speed force is not a part of the force in Star Wars. Yoda still needs to react to Jay to use any of his powers. And besides, if Yoda is allowed to weaken Jay before the battle, wouldn't that be prep? He clearly has no prep except for round 3. If neither side has prep, what makes you think Yoda is allowed to sense, spy on, or weaken Jay in any way before the battle besides the third round? And again, he has to react to Jay to use his force powers. I don't think he can concentrate with a bloodlusted red blur capable of 2 or 3 shotting him...

@sirfizzwhizz Uhm... yes there is a feet of Yoda using it. In Yoda: Dark Rendezous he used it on the Vjun mission and during Episode 3 in the Battle of Kashyyyk. Look up Palleus Chuff, Yoda with one touch boosted his feelings of hope while crushing all feelings of doubt and despair. So why couldn't he, Jay as his target, cause him to crush all thoughts of winning and even how to use speed steel. Yoda literally has the Super-Kiss from Superman II

But I truly believe Jay can defeat Yoda if he's serious.

Problem is, I really don't know how fast Yoda is. He could potentially keep up, seeing as he is one of the fastest in the SWU... unless you can provide me with that information?

@beware_my_power Yoda isn't as fast as Jay. Luke Skywalker or Sidious would have been a better battle when it comes to speed. Yoda is more or less, no pun intended, "Force Speed Sensative".

And I'm not biased....... Maybe a bit...........

I agree its far from a stomp. But I think Yoda could deal far more damage than people think he would. I don't know, I may just be a super biased Star Wars fan, but I think its an unreal fight and Yoda would use the Force to wipe the floor with Jay .
