Yoda vs Durin's bane

Morals off, bloodlust on.

Battle ends in death.

Battle takes place on Dagobah

1 hour prep for both of them.

Who wins?

The lightsaber is useless, being a heat weapon against a being of elemental flame. But given that the Balrog is on dagobah, Yoda can simply use his force TK to swamp the balrog in water.

True. Gothmog died from falling into a river. And yes, a lightsaber can harm the Balrog. The heat of a lightsaber is a secondary and worthless factor, it isn't even how it applies its damage in the first place.

There's also a chance that Durin's Bane could burn the environment, but I don't see how that is doing much. Yoda knows his homeworld much better. And Yoda can pretty much dodge all of the Balrog's attacks.

@Kingjohnrocks: Isn't that what I just went over? Exposure to enough water ends the Balrog, while repeated lightsaber slashes at speeds faster than the Balrog can perceive will also kill it.

@ImmortalT1000: Maybe, but in the end, Yoda wins. With the force, it would enable the old alien to deflect any attack the Balrog can dish out, or just use his world elements, since that is already an advantage for him.

Durin is the Dwarf, he killed him, and his son, who took on the name, hence, Durin's Bane.

Wasn't really trying to contradict anyone guys, just clarifying, no offence meant.

I don't really see this being really a battle. Balrog will never land a hit and will certainly die. Seems more like a stomp.
