Xenomorphs vs Modern World Military

The scenario already puts the Xenomorphs in a cavern away from open fire and how would the military pin point the location of the Queen? Given that the xenomorphs have a month of breeding and could easily leave the Somalian region into the rest of Africa it would difficult to figure out where the main Hive is located, let alone the Queen. How would they stop the Queen from telepathically manipulating all the people in the surrounding area during that month? I'm not selling the human race short, people clearly have too high of a standard for the human race. We are far from being able to find a solution to any problem, we only look for a solution when we have no other options. Every major invention was discovered out of necessity.

We would have to be completely retarded not to be able to figure out where there queen's are. They function like an ant colony dragging food and host's back to the queen who is situated in a large nest that is given away by the tell tale sign of alien gunk. I drummed up that idea right there, imagine what people with the most advanced surveillance and tracking equipment could do if they take a few minute's to think about it.

Xenomorphs don't give off heat signatures, they match the ambient temperatures of the surrounding area. You clearly don't know what surveillance equipment can do if you think they can instantly find something in a matter of minutes. The government can barely find one guy, let alone a creature that won't use any electronics or modern utilities to be tracked. The Taliban are already pretty effective at evading American troops and they just hide in caves lmao. So no, America can't just pinpoint anything with a snap of their finger.

Not to mention, the Queen is not the only one that can lay eggs. In the novels, and the extended version of the first Alien Movie, Ripley found that the Xenomorph in the ship was able to plant embryos into its hosts, starting a new hive. Also even if they manage to kill a Queen, a new one can be formed by an existing Xenomorph.

Also, my point of telepathy still stands. The Queen has been able to send psychic visions into people making them into her slaves, examples include sending nightmares into people's dreams and forcing people to worship her like a god (i.e. like a cult). She can force people to do things which she wouldn't risk doing herself. Alien Resurrection, and the novels, reveal that Xenomorphs have a form of genetic memory, gained from previous Xenomorphs and their hosts. Anything they learned, future generations would know as well.

Just a note on one of your previus comment,governements do care about soldiers who die in a war because it affects their income and public opinion,also WWI and WW2 were inevitable and no individual goverment could have stopped it(unless it's Austria or Germany).They threw the nukes beacause it would've cost 1 million lives and that's too much even for them,it would also ahve probably bankrupt them,which was the bigger concern.

We win beacuse there would be no PIS and the moment the situation is uncontralable tehy woudl nuke the place,it wouldn't be like in a movie were they would keep sending soldiers to salughter,only to kill the enemies,they normally do that only if there's something they want to recover or something if there's nothign them they will just blow the place up with bombs, drones and what a not.

Public Opinion is very importamt resource in a war,see The Art of War and more recently Vietnam or Iraq.

But I agree governments put money above lives,just not that much.

PETA will get involved and protest the inhumane killing of a noble alien life. Xenomorphs have rights too.

If aliens were to try to land on earth right now, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd be met with a thousand nuclear bombs to the face the moment they showed even the slightest hint of being hostile, along with soviet style attrition warfare; strapping bombs to pets and having them go under alien tanks and walkers to disrupt their movements, mining all the fields, giving guns to everyone older than thirteen and having them charge at the aliens to use up their ammunition to allow the professional soldiers to sweep in and win, engineering diseases to attack them, rigging everything you can to blow up in their face, and if we can't win; then nuke the entire planet to the point of uninhabitability because if we can't have the planet, they sure as hell can't either.

Nice to see people with knowledge of the military here. Just want to say though, our biological weapons could prove more deadly if we could prevent collateral damage. The US has a nerve gas called Vx, and we have enough to wipe out the world. If the Xenomorphs were vulnerable to it, then we would already won the conflict.

However the question is when public opinion would sway into using Nuclear weapons. Because even then if they don't use it soon enough then the entirety of Africa can be taken in a relatively short amount of time. I expected the inevitable but terrible Osama comparison.

If Osama where the size of an elephant, laid and surrounded himself in large egg's, covered his hideout's in noticeable alien shit, had people and other large mammal's dragged back to his hideout and stayed in the one place then the physical aspect's would be similar. now there's the very important social difference's.

Osama lived in a country where his supporter's hid amongst the general populace so some of humanity was actively hindering are progress to try and find him, for obvious reason's aliens can't do that and will receive no help from the humanity. He actively tried to stay hidden the alien hive's will have obvious hostiles going back and forth. Unlike the alien's he was aware of some of the method's being used to try and find him. This one is mostly speculation but his location may have been known about for year's and he was only killed when he was killed for either publicity or to give a large space between his deed's and death to avoud martyring him.

The second part sound's made up, there was no mention or indication that the crew had been impregnated only that they had been kept alive to be impregnated, they made mention in the third film that her embryo was special and would be that of a queen. If your point where true it would make the queen laying egg's completely redundant and horribly inefficient, I've never seen mention of it anywhere.

What queen was this? was it some old super queen or a queen of a particular race because there have been plenty of moment's in the movie's where that ability would have been handy but she never used it.

The Alien and avp military are ridiculously dumb, try putting some xenomorphs against the us military from Transformers, they'd find a way to stop em pretty fast.

Osama was also living in a pretty luxurious mansion and had dozens of armed guards. He wasn't hiding in a cave or anywhere unexpected. He was freaking near a military installation. A Xenomorph Queen can enlist the aid of humans through telepathic mind control. Not to mention the shamanistic culture of tribal Africans might actually aid the Xenomorphs for a time as their superstitions may be view them as something beneficial to them (i.e. like District 9). Also during that month the Xenomorphs can easily spread outside of Somalia and infest other nations.

Watch the first Alien film Director's Cut. Ripley finds her crew mates are infected with alien hosts in a makeshift hive. Also I don't see how this would make the Queen redundant. Bees have the ability to reproduce in the instance a queen dies, or when they need to start up a new hive. Eventually a queen does take over the hive after it is established. Also eggs are more effective then placing live hosts as eggs can be transported and facehuggers can move on their own and incapacitate individuals.

Are you referring to the Queen's telepathy? It has been displayed in the comics Aliens: Inhuman Condition and Aliens: Special. Inhuman Condition showcases it being able to communicate with a human and planning with her an invasion of human installation by having her open the doors for the Xenomorphs. Aliens: Special shows cult people worshipping an Alien Queen and sabotaging the humans and helping the Xenomorphs. The film Alien 3 showcases the Dog Alien being able to control an individual who refers to it as a 'dragon'. It later helps the Xenomorph by releasing it after it was trapped.

They are not dumb. They just underestimated The Aliens. They use heavy armor and very strong weapons, but the xenos are basically huge killing lobsters.

I still highly doubt it would be as easy as you claim to simply find the Xenomorph hive. Surveillance technology is impressive, but given their location in Africa, I highly doubt America, or any government for that matter, to have reliable eyes and ears in the country. Parts of Africa are so remote that people already have a hard time getting there, let alone surveying the area. Given the nature of Xenomorphs to remain hidden, I doubt they would appear out in the open for absolutely no reason. They are a learning and adapting species, the fact they choose to attack at night, rather then day, already shows this.

The film doesn't explicit state they were infected. But judging from their "kill me" reaction, which everyone who has ever been infested practically say, it's pretty reasonable. Not to mention this idea has been brought up again in comic, with Xenomorph drones and warriors being able to infect up to four hosts, in order to start a new hive. On the subject of bees, there are two ways for bees to be Queens. Either they are born into it, or a special 'virgin' bee takes the throne after the death of the previous queen. Xenomorphs or Facehuggers can lay a special 'queen' egg within hosts, or a Praetorian Xenomorph would change into the Queen. Given that there is a month for her to breed she would easily be able to produce Praetorian guards, which are the elite Xenomorph guards. Also if you were to watch the commentary to the Predalien, it was only placing live embryos into hosts because it needed a suitable amount of drones before actually laying eggs. Eggs are more productive than actually sticking your mouth into their face given that eggs can be transported and facehuggers are mobile. Eggs can also be produced irregardless on whether a host is present or not.

I listed two comics with Xenomorph Queens using telepathy. It's an added trait brought up in the comic. They use telepathy to communicate with their hive, in addition to people.

The real military wins. Trying to use some alternate earth where the Xenomorphs take over incompetent people. We don't even need nukes to take the aliens out. People on the ground could take these things out. But before there are any boots on the ground most likely where they are at is going to get Demolished. Screw any treaties, where going to bust out the napalm again and some thermobaric AGMs and pop a round.

Against the aliens just use some M2 Brownings, Armor piercing rounds, any shotgun with frag 12 armor piercing rounds, Barret .50 Cals, hell. Use an Anzio 20 mm sniper cannon. The soldier aren't going to be there to clear them out. Oh no. Just to help scientists study them. Maybe capture a few and take them away. Save civilians maybe. Deliver info. Do whatever job they have to and stay alive while everything else levels the landscape. More specialized jobs.Once we're in, we're gonna track down the Xenomorphs by planting devices on them through whatever means, or I'm sure some device exists that would allow us to find their hive the same way we'd find a bunker. If not. Tracking devices. With boots on the ground. Once we pinpoint the hive it's done. We'll bust out this baby...

Next generation bunker buster. BLU-118/B. I hope these Xenomorph like fire because this thermobaric bunker buster is going to flood their hive and incinerate everything inside.

Did I forget to mention? This comes in thermonuclear too. There is nowhere they can hide from us because these babies weigh 22,000 lbs and go through about 1000 feet of solid concrete, meant to tunnel through mountains. I hope they have fun while they're here because they're going to get bathed in molten magma either way. Oh yeah. Because the thermonuclear BB is detonated underground. There isnt much fallout. I hope they have fun. Because anything ground zero is gonna get atomized and everything else is going to get turned to mush miles away while this thing uses heat to make them into mush and blast waves to crumble their caves around them.

Your fancy high tech pulse rifles don't mean jack sh** to us. We just rofl stomped the xenomorph invasion and we don't necessarily even need nukes.

Lol I love how people think they know how the Xenomorph race would act and would come at the military head on. Before anyone would notice there'd be nests all over the world as the Queen is very smart and would make sure drones would accompany eggs with queen facehuggers on aircraft to every continent around the world and once governments would realise the xenomorphs would be a huge threat since they'd target the homeless first people the queen knows wouldn't be noticed then the military in it's bravado would find buildings and they are in and think oh this easy when in reality every warrior killed has a chance of badly injuring squads from acid splash. The queens would also make sure to target nuclear launching facilities to be taken down all at once before they even revealed themselves to be a threat. Anyone who thinks i'm joking obviously doesn't realise they're perfect organism and were created as biological weapons so they'd have better tactics than the governments of the world since all the nests that would be visible you can be assured there'd be 3 that were hidden very well.

Erasing Africa from existence would be a start but the 1 month head start is kinda lame.

If the xenomorphs lurk enough and build up enough bases then they win against humanity
