you do realize there is an enormous tech gap between those two concepts?

@fallschirmjager: alright lets say this x-wing variant is meant for atmosphere battle and the tech difference is why i thought of this battle. the most advanced fighter ever made vs a sci-fi fighter.

The X-Wing will blow the F22 out of the sky before the F22 Pilot even knows what's happening.

If all the Pilots are the same skill...the superior aircrafts will win. X-wings have better weaponry, better armour, and fly at faster speeds.
