Thanks LordOfAllHumans, I'm still new to all this! :) in that case then it is Jean Grey with no Phoenix influence whatsoever, just as herself from the very first X-Men comics

you could at least make it an adult Jean Grey, to give them a chance against Sinister and Apocalypse. Jean From the very first comics doesn't even have telepathy, Sinister could mind rape the entire team and they'd be defenseless except for minor psi shielding the Xmen may have, which is only usually good enough to hold back probes and sometimes sneak up on telepaths.
My vote is on the villains. Sadly. X-Men and Spidey are some of my favorite heroes of all time. Apocalypse has beaten a whole team of X-Men on his own before, so with Sinister and the rest of the crew there aiding him, the heroes are going to be reduced to mulch.
It get's more interesting with an older Jean. Sinister becomes the problem now. An older Jean pissed off enough has shown that she can rip through Apocs armor telekinetically, freeze him making him helpless telepathically and even separate his soul from a body, so she can handle him. There was a time when Cyclops optic blast was Sinisters weakness, but they retconned it into Sinister faking it so that they had a answer to why he was back after Scott killed him, but then they retconned Sinister again into just having a seemingly infinite amount of clones of himself, so maybe Scotts blast is a still potentially lethal to him as we can now deduce that the Sinister that came back and said he faked the vulnerability may have just been a clone, and Scott did destroy the one they faced. Bobby alone can make short work of the other four villains. So it would be the Xmen and Spidey vs Sinister near the end, I think they can take him.

I believe I've seen the scans in which Jean did this. The problem with that is Apocalypse had taken control of Scott's mind, thus circumventing any protection Apocalypse had and allowing Jean to defeat him with ease. She states as much in the scan, too. Her words. This time Apocalypse is not making a "conduit" through anybody - he's punching and blasting people to dust.

I understand that, it still illustrates the strength of her tk it wouldn't matter what protections she circumvented if her tk wasn't strong enough to rip the armor, which is the only reason I mentioned it to show how strong she actually can be. The armor is bonded to him on the sub-atomic level which means she would have had to employ that level of tk to separate it from him. Maybe my wording suggested that Jean would take him down and be done with him, I meant that she can handle him as in she can keep him busy if she is pissed enough, 4 of the members of his villain squad are not even factors, that Iceman can take out all his own. With the retcon that just about every Sinister we've seen being a clone after the death of another, I'm sticking with Scott without PIS remembers his blast once vaporized Sinister and he does it again. I always imagine the Xmen in these forums fighting better than they fought when a story calls for a villain to run through them. When was the last time Apocalypse team busted the Xmen? Even during the 12 they had him on the ropes, and still managed to stop him even when he has the power to alter reality, mainly because they know how to act as one which most people forget about when it comes to Xmen and battle forums, their teamwork is unrivaled IMO usually because they are always telepathically linked can communicate without talking, share each others perspectives in the battle and watch each others back.. This won't be an easy fight but the heroes have a chance if they fight smart, and as a team, and most of the time the Xmen do. The villains on the other do not, and Sinister has just as much animosity if not more when it comes to Apocalypse as anybody, in character Sinister may even secretly help the Xmen take him down.
