Green lantern ring: The power to do anything your mind and or creativity desires
Mjolnir: world busting energy blasts, unbreakable, allows flight, powerful enough to hurt cosmic entities, and you can survive in extreme weather conditions.

NEW RULES THAT I FORGOT TO POST AT THE BEGINNING OF THE FORUM:

  • Mjolnir wielders get asgardian physiology
  • GL wielders get a battery TO KEEP-(this is the last adjusted rule)
  • SORRY TOTALLY FORGOT TO PUT THIS HERE

Ring all the way.

#3 Posted by MFrenzy11 (467 posts) - - Show Bio

i think i might agree but a hammer that can hurt a cosmic entity is pretty strong itself

@MFrenzy11:

RING because PARALLAX HAL JORDAN

Ring is so powerful

Ring construct is durable enough to drag planets

#5 Posted by MFrenzy11 (467 posts) - - Show Bio

i dont think u can just turn into parallax as soon as u get a gl ring

#6 Posted by Sethlol (1296 posts) - - Show Bio

Ring.

#7 Posted by ComicStooge (12595 posts) - - Show Bio

The ring is more powerful to someone with incredibly high willpower, but I think to the average person Mjolnir would be better, assuming you could lift it.

#8 Posted by FiMFTW (687 posts) - - Show Bio

Don't I get a lantern, too?

If not, Mjolnir all the way.

#9 Posted by BigCimmerian (8149 posts) - - Show Bio

I would rather have Mjolnir of course, but ring would also be nice to have lol.

That's kind of the thing. I KNOW I've got good willpower and a creative mind, but how on earth can I even begin to consider myself "worthy" of Mjolnir?

#11 Posted by OmgOmgWtfWtf (7029 posts) - - Show Bio

Mjolnir.

#12 Posted by Raizex (354 posts) - - Show Bio

Haha, it's funny that OP explained Mjolnir to be unbreakable and on the image for it, it's broken. lol

#13 Posted by MFrenzy11 (467 posts) - - Show Bio

OK YALL ALL WORTHY OF LIFTING MJOLNIR JUST THINK OF IT THAT WAY

@MFrenzy11: I heard that the spectrum color is lightspeed

I'd still go for the ring. Assuming I exist in my own life with no other super powered people, I can hide a ring way easier than I can hide the hammer and can do things stealthily with it. Unless it can be disguised as a cane like in the old school comics, but again, it's way easier to carry a ring indiscreetly than a walking stick that transforms into a big hammer. The ring would just be more fun to me.

#16 Posted by MFrenzy11 (467 posts) - - Show Bio

what spectrum color

#17 Edited by INLIFE (1600 posts) - - Show Bio

Ring........Like seriously, Hyperspace capabilities.

Besides, I am extremely imagination oriented.

I am afraid of how dangerous and powerful I would become if I possessed such a ring in real-life.

Yeah, I may not turn into zero hour parallax

but it is still possible for me to do this

Full spectrum

You seem a little mixed up. Parallax is a separate entity to a GL Ring.

Parallax is the embodiment of Fear.

Right, I'd say Mjolnir.

#21 Posted by MFrenzy11 (467 posts) - - Show Bio

@matmatxm8: true that

#22 Posted by matmatxm8 (587 posts) - - Show Bio

@Sideslash:

Oh okay, still going with ring because the light is faster than lightning

#23 Posted by MFrenzy11 (467 posts) - - Show Bio

oh and if u draw stick figures for art ur probably gonna be a sucky gl just putting that out there

Hm... Given that I don't have a great deal of willpower unless I put my full attention to a task (which is extremely rare), I'd prefer Mjolnir. Though I don't know how useful it would be. Without Asgardian physiology to back up Mjolnir's abilities, I'd be pretty vulnerable. I couldn't even fly too high or too fast without getting ripped apart by air friction or dying of frostbite. Especially since the core of Thor's abilities comes not from Mjolnir, but his Asgardian traits: His strength (Boosted by his belt of strength), incredible durability, his godblasts, lightning/thunder control, etc. While Mjolnir provides greater focus for his weather powers and god blasts, he's capable of the godblasts and world shattering attacks on his own, Mjolnir's just the tool he uses, since it's powerful enough not to shatter from his strength.

... Whoops, started ranting again. My bad. Long story short: I'd be useless with both.

Actually, no, you made a solid point. I thought the ring because overall it has the potential to be the more powerful weapon, now I think the ring bacause Mjolnir would just lead to me killing myself, lol.

Didnt consider that...

An excellent point. Green Lantern ring all the way!

This thread has already been done.

Also, not a battle.

GL ring, we all have untapped reserves of willpower to use.

But with Mjolnir I would be completely vulnerable to attack from bullets or other projectiles.

With the GL ring I am far more flexible and able to fight.

#30 Posted by MFrenzy11 (467 posts) - - Show Bio

GL ring wins its unanimous

#31 Posted by Nefarious (19838 posts) - - Show Bio

I think a question like this has been brought up before.

But normally, I would say Mjolnir.

@matmatxm8: Okay...But still, atomic flare, life essence drain, godblast, etc, are still powerful abilities.

@MFrenzy11: I'm assuming Asgardian physiology comes with Mjolnir?

Mjolnir only if I become Thor, Ring otherwise. Me with ring would be much more powerful and safer as it could protect my frail form. It would also be easier to conceal. Can't walk around unobtrusively with a 15 pound magical maul. Government would find out right away and take it away from me. A fancy ring would make me look slightly metrosexual.

That story was filled with PIS. The rings are coded to the wearer so they can't be stolen.

I'd so go for the ring. I could create stuff with that.

#43 Posted by Ultimate_Riddler (289 posts) - - Show Bio

So wait, let me get this straight. We can just say that those who pick Mjolnir are automatically worthy AND get Asgardian physiology to go with it, but the people that pick the ring are still stuck with their respective mental restrictions such as fear and lack of creativity? How is that even a fair choice?

#44 Posted by AllStarSuperman (21766 posts) - - Show Bio

If it takes place in the real world I'd take a ring but if it takes place in the dc?/marvel universes Id take Thor dealing with the guardians would be such a pain

#45 Posted by Azathoth_The_Dread_Sleeper (597 posts) - - Show Bio

The Green Lantern ring. Sure it may not be as powerful as Mjolnir, but the practical aspects tend to make me lean toward the ring.

#46 Posted by Hksaru (463 posts) - - Show Bio

In a battle between the two, Mjolnir would come out the victor. However I'd choose the ring.

I'd choose Thor's abilities over either, though

Let's all admit it, if people got a power ring, a large majority of the males would spend a lot of time in their rooms with ring projections...

GL's ring anyday.
