Wonderwoman VS The Stranger
@ordinaryalan: I'm assuming the OP means Stranger. The tricky thing about him is his lack of feats. On paper, he should be an exceedingly powerful cosmic-entity, but again; feats.
I agree he'd take her though.
@xiix: I agree. I think his mere presence at cosmic events (confronting Thanos w/IG and later at Adam Warlock's "trial") would imply his power level is much greater than Wonder Woman's. :)
@ordinaryalan: Yeah.
But for the record, I think his most extensive fight was against Silver-Surfer, and Surfer didn't have any issue causing him pain(even in spite of Stranger's "protective field").
And although not a combat feat, he also admits his inability to have independently created Ego(since people more or less automatically assume the creator to be casually more powerful than the creation).
@xiix: Great scans. I had read somewhere that he battled the Surfer, but I had never read it myself. Thanks.
I had that book with Stranger vs Surfer along time ago. Strangers tricky to acess his capabilities against a magic character like WW. But his implied power level is extremely high he still doesn't have a lot of feats.
Stranger stomps.
@alphaaboveall: @heirtothekingdom: According to what feats?
Does anyone here even know anything of substance abiut the Stranger? Other than his interests in experiments..
@morleericks: "Stranger stomps" is pretty much the most substantial answer you're gonna get, here.
So, I'm guessing; no.
@jagernutt: oh god no
@alphaaboveall: That's The Phantom Stranger, from DC.
This is The Stranger, from Marvel.
@mr-luxcipher: Oops deleted. He's teamed up against Cosmic Entities, especially the LT who's master is TOAA. So his power levels should tell that alone. WW is no where near that multi-universal scale. Stranger is like Galactus but doesn't hunger and his power is constant and never depletes. Galactus can't "undo" a destroyed world or solar system, the Stranger can. Zeus, Odin and Vishnu combining there powers, couldn't even leave a scratch on Arishem; and the Stranger is above a fourth host Celestial. The Stranger is so high up on the Marvel Hierarchy, that he was going to be the 4th face of the Living Tribunal; and while he lacks feats, he is virtually Galactus, but with the additional powers of Psionic abilities and he doesn't need to feed on planets(even though a full fed Galactus, would probably be slightly more powerful than the Stranger). But, Sliver Surfer did cause him some trouble when they both fought, so it's not entirely right that Stranger might be on Galactus level. What's known is The Stranger is an abstract being like Galactus. And Stranger got Ko'ed by Juggernaut in one punch, so The Stranger's powers can confuse people a lot. But Living Tribunal stated that he is important in the universe, but he must find that purpose out for himself, after deciding to leave and find his own place in the universe. The Stranger is well known for being LT's "friend" yet he gets beat by Juggers and Spiderman(stated somewhere in a comic but forgot). At the end though, in this picture above, if he has fought against Cosmic Entities, then that should explain he isn't weak as he seems. If LT thinks he's important in the universe, then Stranger has powers that is debatable much higher than WW.
@alphaaboveall: @heirtothekingdom: According to what feats?
He's a cosmic being. That's enough to say he wins.
@heirtothekingdom: @alphaaboveall: I'm aware of all that.
He's also been given a handful by Silver Surfer(as shown above), knocked on his ass by Juggernaut , and admitted "the enormity of constructing a planet was BEYOND his independent means"(again, shown above).
His feats don't back his hype.
At all.
There is NOTHING he's done to suggest he'd handily beat Wonder-Woman, much less stomp her, as many claimed here(assuming she's Pre-New 52. New 52, I couldn't say for certain).
@mr-luxcipher: Well Silver Surfer is more powerful than Diana, and Juggernaut is physically stronger.
@heirtothekingdom: Indeed.
But the way it's being carried on here, The Stranger should've manhandled them/hand-waved them into submission like a true "cosmic-being" would.
The point made is just that, even if a case can be made he'd beat her, there is nothing to suggest it's with the ease people are claiming.
@mr-luxcipher: I didn't say he can beat her with ease. I said "Stranger has powers that is debatable much higher than WW." So Stranger could have the chance to take her down.
@alphaaboveall: Didn't mean you, specifically.
Meant more the gist of the thread, haha.
@mr-luxcipher: Well...The Stranger was shown to be capable of negating Surfer's power cosmic:
They fought evenly after this, but Surfer remarked Stranger's ability to negate his power cosmic with the black sphere:
He also has some quite good feats, like holding off the power of the Null-Life Bomb:
The same bomb could eventually engulf the entire star system and beyond:
We can find statements like Thor considering Stranger a threat to Asgard and even used his time powers to prevent the entity of attacking his home:
Funny enough, Thor was a worthy opponent according to Stranger's own words. Anyway, I agree about our friend here not being at the same level that the users put him to be.
