Sorry for the confusion I only did marvel heroes. Obviously Silver Surfer would be top dog (maybe there is some minor competition between him and Thor) but to everyone else he could drain their energy, find their weakness etc. So I didn't put him on the list. These seem closer

@darksercate: they would all beat each other interchangibly, quasar would make mincemeat out of people like hulk or surfer, but sentry would beat him, thor would beat sentry (assuming it's normal versions), but hulk would beat thor and so on.

I personally define it as the guy that's makes everyone go "sh*t just got real" when they get involved, but aren't nessacarily the most powerful, so for me it's either hulk or thor.

I think there needs to be a bit more clarification what you exactly mean with the term "top dog"

Power wise the Sentry wins this easily, Thor is more the poster child top dog, Gladiator as leader of the Shi'ar and general badass the overall top dog

@darksercate: quasar is literally theperfect counter for someone like surfer; norrin is notoriously easy to drain, quasar is very good at draining people and does it in character, not to mention he's not far off from surfer without draining anyway.

Hulk beats thor morals on or off in my opinion and that of many other people.

Sentry? Seriously ppl? Hell no, he is too unstable and he is just a plot device and a power tool, not a true hero, also by top dogs we are talking about the most mainstream, popular and powerful superheroes. In DC is Superman, in Marvel, should be Thor.
