My second to last thread(or actually, my last one, for I've no more time tonight after this) of the night is an unusual one, as I am arranging several Star Wars battles which never happened in canon, but would have been cool if they had. Anyway, here they are... Battle 1: Luke Skywalker VS Count Dooku Battle 2: Princess Leia Organa VS Jango Fett Battle 3: Luke Skywalker VS Boba Fett Battle 4: Luke Skywalker VS Darth Maul Battle 5: Qui Gonn Jinn VS Han Solo Battle 6: Qui Gon Jinn VS Count Dooku Battle 7: Qui Gon Jinn VS Boba Fett Battle 8: Anakin Skywalker VS Darth Maul Battle 9: Mace Windu VS Darth Vader Battle 10: Mace Windu VS Darth Maul Battle 11: Qui Gon Jinn VS Jango Fett Battle 12: Anakin Skywalker VS Boba Fett Battle 13(and the final one, too): Obi Wan Kenobi VS Mace Windu Answer the winner of each battle individually, please!

This really depends on what versions of the characters.

1: Luke Skywalker VS Count Dooku ...if it's Luke at any point in the movies, he loses badly. Any time after the Thrawn series he wins pretty easily.

2: Princess Leia Organa VS Jango Fett ...Jango should take this pretty much any time in continuity.

3: Luke Skywalker VS Boba Fett ... Luke could win this any time after Empire Strikes Back.

4: Luke Skywalker VS Darth Maul ...Movie Luke gets murdered. After Thrawn series, he wins, but barely, and only if Maul's CIS kicks in and he allows Luke breathing room to use his superior force abilities. Luke had trouble with Kueller, who was no match for Maul.

5: Qui Gonn Jinn VS Han Solo... Qui Gonn easily wins this. Han pretty much can't hurt him.

6: Qui Gon Jinn VS Count Dooku ... Qui Gonn should do this without much trouble. They should be nearly equal in force ability and Qui Gon is the superior swordsman

7: Qui Gon Jinn VS Boba Fett ...Qui Gonn again has no trouble. Think about how easily Windu dispatched Jango. Same situation here.

8: Anakin Skywalker VS Darth Maul ... Maul should win this. Anakin neglected his studies too much. This would end worse than his fight with Obi Wan. And faster.

9: Mace Windu VS Darth Vader ... Mace should slaughter this one. Anakin would have been among the greatest ever if he had trained properly. As Vader he is similar to Cable. Lots of power, and potential but most of it being wasted on keeping himself alive.

10: Mace Windu VS Darth Maul... This one is close. In the novelization of Phantom Menace, it spends a lot of time on how Qui Gonn (along with Mace Windu) is the among the best with a lightsaber in the history of the Order, and that Obi Wan is well on his way to joining them. It also mentions how easy a time Maul was having with them both. And in Shadow Hunter Maul also easily kills another great jedi battle master Anoon Bondara who is a saber master and master of Teras Kasi. With that in mind, I think Maul might take Mace, but this is very close.

11: Qui Gon Jinn VS Jango Fett ...Qui Gonn easily

12: Anakin Skywalker VS Boba Fett ... Bananakin stomps.

13 Obi Wan Kenobi VS Mace Windu ... Revenge of the Sith versions of both could realistically go either way. Obi is slightly superior with force abilities in general, while Mace is probably just barely better with a lightsaber. I'll say Obi by virtue of youth, and more active adventuring. Mace was a little rusty IMO.

1: Luke Skywalker VS Count Dooku ...if it's Luke at any point in the movies, he loses badly. Any time after the Thrawn series he wins pretty easily.

If you mean purely movie versions, sure, Luke would not handle himself so well. If Rebellion era Luke's EU feats are available, he could last. He was an absolute equal to Vader in raw lightsaber skill, and Vader is not far behind Dooku in that respect. As well, Luke is a Djem So practitioner, which can afford a natural edge over a Makashi master. Luke has strength feats such as performing hand stands on one finger with Yoda on his upright feet and carrying Vader on his back while injured from Palpatine's Lightning. If anything, he has superior strength feats to Anakin, whose application of Djem So overpowered Dooku in RotS. Djem So holding status as his preferred form could very likely equalize whatever skill advantage Dooku otherwise would have. Furthermore, Luke's speed feats at the time are equivalent to Dooku (some superior), his TK feats are comparable, and he knows Force Deflection (Palpatine's Lightning overwhelmed his Deflection, but Palpatine's Lightning is significantly more potent than Dooku's, not to mention that Luke has a lightsaber he can block it with). As for Luke winning after the Thrawn trilogy, after the Thrawn trilogy is Dark Empire, and Luke was well beyond Dooku by that point. In fact, he has no need to extend that far. By the Thrawn trilogy, Luke could defeat Dooku. At that time, his speed feats were greater, his telekinetic feats were noticeably greater, his versatility was far more developed, and most pertinently, his lightsaber skill was superior. Thrawn trilogy Luke would beat Dooku. Luke by 8ASW4 could very well beat him as well.

2: Princess Leia Organa VS Jango Fett ...Jango should take this pretty much any time in continuity.

Not necessarily. Leia's own Force skills, while not incredible, could serve well enough with her lightsaber capabilities to win. She has killed Beldorian in a duel, for instance, and has demonstrated such powers as simple Telekinesis, respectable levels of Force Speed, Battle Meditation, etc. I doubt she would win every encounter, but she could win.

4: Luke Skywalker VS Darth Maul ...Movie Luke gets murdered. After Thrawn series, he wins, but barely, and only if Maul's CIS kicks in and he allows Luke breathing room to use his superior force abilities.

Once again, Luke does not need to move past the Thrawn trilogy to beat Maul. Thrawn trilogy Luke could beat him. In fact, Rebellion era Luke could claim just as many wins over Maul as Maul would over him. In the Rebellion era, his speed showings were equal, his Force powers were greater, and his lightsaber skill was even with Maul. In speed, Luke in the Rebellion era has produced afterglows of curtains/tapestries, deflected blaster fire from a dozen shooters, created afterimages of his blade, seen TIE Fighters that were flying at sublight speed in slow motion, deflected AT-ST blaster bolts, seen Guri who is superhumanly fast in slow motion, run invisibly fast, etc. Maul has generated afterglows of his lightsaber resembling webs and shields; perceived training droids which threw nearly imperceptibly fast blows in slow motion; reflected fire from twenty shooters at once; run invisibly fast; etc. There is little difference between them in this regard, although if we want to be meticulous, Luke technically has more impressive speed feats. In telekinetic power, Luke has supported an AT-ST, manipulated machinery/bombs spread all around Cloud City simultaneously, utilized Lightsaber Throw, and used more precise control of it such as levitation. Maul at best has shattered doors and hurled several people away (he also has shown Lightsaber Throw). Luke is greater in that aspect. In dueling skill, Luke was equal with Vader (Vader himself was roughly equal with Maul while Maul's own powers were seemingly augmented by the residual dark side energy in the Dark Side Acolytes fortress, and that was before Vader achieved the height of his abilities, which occurred at RotJ), beaten Kharys, beaten Lumiya, and stalemated Flint without having any interest in a fight. Maul has defeated Anoona Bondara, Darsha Assant, Qui-Gon, and Obi-Wan. There is little disparity in pure adeptness with a lightsaber. In a straightforward fight, the outcome is indeterminable. This is Rebellion era Luke we are talking about. Luke in later years would have less trouble with Maul. So as I said, by the Thrawn trilogy, he would win.

Luke had trouble with Kueller, who was no match for Maul.

This is horrendously out of context. When Luke faced Kueller, he had been injured and weakened twice. The first injury he sustained came from the mistmakers when they stung him and splattered residue on him when he used the Force to cause them to explode. Despite receiving medical attention from Brakiss' mother, this did slow him. His second injury came when his X-Wing exploded over Pydyr with him inside it, and then he survived the subsequent fall to the planet's surface, a fall which began from above the buildings on the surface. When Kueller confronted him, Luke was well below his peak capacity, yet he still held his own.

Luke hoped he would get that chance. Slowly he limped his way down the stairs. He was stiff from the fall, his muscles aching with pain. The mistmakers had weakened his system; the burns and the fall had made him lose even more strength.

--Taken from The New Rebellion

More than that, sourcebook entries have identified that Luke would been out of Kueller's league had it not been for his weakened state.

Skywalker and Organa Solo were left to face Kueller. He should not have been a match for either of them, but powered by his rage and with Skywalker still wounded, Kueller got the better of them.

--Taken from The Dark Side Sourcebook

So, no, Luke struggling with Kueller is not a sign he would struggle with Maul. He held his own against Palpatine, who is not only more skilled but far and away faster than Maul (to the extent that Maul would not even be able to see the movements of Palpatine's lightsaber). He gained an advantage over Luuke. He defended himself from Brakiss while wounded from the mistmakers and in the course of the duel, refused to return a counterattack, only parry blows, and even then, Brakiss still only managed to land one small cut on Luke's shirt (the slash did not actually reach Luke). He beat five Jensaarai concurrently without any effort and without killing any of them. He beat Kam Solusar while Kam was under Palpatine's influence. He defeated multiple Dark Side Adepts. In Force ability, Luke has telekinetically destroyed a mountain sized hermitage; crushed AT-ATs; lifted/moved Massassi trees (which extend from 140 to 170 meters tall); moved a B-Wing; slowed the descent of a Star Destroyer; knocked over the giant Vader statue on Vjun; safely landed himself, Isolder, and Storm (Isolder's ship) from a freefall from Dathomir's orbit; demolished a house; levitated a speeder; etc. etc. Luke's raw telekinetic power is substantially high. He has also manifested myraids of other powers, such as Alter Environment, which he has used to summon winds to hurl enemies away and to superheat matter until it explodes (as he did to a mistmaker which was three times the size of his X-Wing and resistant to blaster bolts); has a wealth of telepathic powers; can construct Force Barriers, which have withstood AT-AT blaster bolts, lava, and volcanic heat (and he brought Force Barrier to bear in a duel once, as in his sparring match with Corran Horn); can use Force Deflection which as redirected lava; knows the Fallanassi techniques of Force Immersion, with which he rendered the Teljkon vagabond invisible over Qella on only his second attempt with that power; knows Doppelganger; etc. This is all up to The New Rebellion. Luke was more skilled than Maul in the New Republic era, he was faster than Maul in the New Republic era, and he was considerably more powerful than Maul in the New Republic era. If Maul fights NR era Luke from Thrawn trilogy or later, he loses, and he could still lose to Luke before then.

6: Qui Gon Jinn VS Count Dooku ... Qui Gonn should do this without much trouble. They should be nearly equal in force ability and Qui Gon is the superior swordsman

No, Qui-Gon is not the superior swordsman. Dooku has far better combat feats than Qui-Gon does. He has beaten Mace Windu; beaten Obi-Wan; beaten Anakin; beaten Quinlan Vos; beaten General Grievous; beaten Tholme and Sora Bulq simultaneously; and held his own against Yoda, who is the Order's best duelist. Qui-Gon has absolutely nothing to compare with him in lightsaber affinity. As for Force power, I doubt Qui-Gon is a match for him in that department either. Dooku has projected Force Lightning that killed quite a few Kiffar soldiers all at once; telekinetically collapsed the crane that nearly crushed Anakin and Obi-Wan; easily knocked over a walkway on Obi-Wan; pulled down boulder from a roof onto Tholme and onto Yoda on another occasion; etc. Dooku possesses other powers, such as Doppelganger as well. Tyranus wins this soundly.

7: Qui Gon Jinn VS Boba Fett ...Qui Gonn again has no trouble. Think about how easily Windu dispatched Jango. Same situation here.

Qui-Gon would win, but this is a poor example. When Mace attacked Jango, Jango had been trampled by the reek just prior which disabled his jetpack. His mobility was therefore restricted. If Qui-Gon faced him, he would have to circumvent Boba's flight, which he could accomplish, but it would be far from the near instantaneous victory Mace had over Jango.

8: Anakin Skywalker VS Darth Maul ... Maul should win this. Anakin neglected his studies too much. This would end worse than his fight with Obi Wan. And faster.

Eh...no. Anakin lost to Obi-Wan because his emotions interfered with his powers, hindering his efficiency and because he and Obi-Wan knew every nuance of each other's fighting style, having spent thousands of hours in sparring sessions together. That in no way translates to this battle. Anakin is faster than Maul. He has moved his blade fast enough that he covered himself in light, filled Dooku's entire line of sight with a haze, and weaved afterimages. He has caught up to speeders on foot. He has fought whole armies blindfolded with Obi-Wan. He has dodged literal lightning bolts and seen/reacted to ships flying at sublight speeds. Maul has nothing to place him at a level standing with him in speed. In Force power, Anakin is well out of Maul's range. He has telekinetically moved an entire droid landing platform/battle station, displayed Lightsaber Throw, thrown opponents thirty meters, moved a boulder the size of a hut, moved/controlled an escape pod Durge was occupying, lifted the crumbled remains of an immense stone wall, etc. Although not usable in combat, just to drive in the point that Anakin's Force powers are very well developed, he has shown Beast Control, Force Heal, probed the mind of a creature, used Force Barrier, and when drawing on his negative emotions, has released a Force Scream that leveled a dome facility thirty meters high and ninety meter wide. He is incomparably more powerful than Maul. In fact, aside from Yoda, Anakin is plausibly the most powerful Jedi in the Order at the time. In lightsaber proficiency, he is better. He has beaten Asajj Ventress, casually hacked apart MagnaGuards, beaten Dooku, and beaten Cin Drallig (he did this after being christened Darth Vader, but he has harnessed his anger and aggression in duels before to the extent that it would make no real difference). Maul would certainly give him a fight, but he would lose. Anakin is simply better across the board.

9: Mace Windu VS Darth Vader ... Mace should slaughter this one. Anakin would have been among the greatest ever if he had trained properly. As Vader he is similar to Cable. Lots of power, and potential but most of it being wasted on keeping himself alive.

Once again, no. Vader is distinctively more powerful. He has telekinetically brought down parts of houses, destroyed cathedrals, thrown V-Wings, torn apart a landing platform, used Lightsaber Throw, pushed down vaulted doors, thrown foes across whole ally ways, knocked over colossal trees, etc. He knows Alter Environment, which he employed to conjure winds in his duel against Luke at Cloud City. He is durable enough to withstand explosions, and his pain tolerance is sufficient for him to resist numerous slashing wounds and severs and continue fighting. His speed, contrary to popular belief, is roughly equal with Mace's. Vader has afterimage and blurring showings with his lightsaber and has often fought characters such as Obi-Wan, Maul, and Luke who are in Mace's speed class. In skill, Mace has stalemated General Grievous, beaten Asajj Ventress, and fought evenly with Dooku. Vader has fought evenly with Obi-Wan whose skills had increased since Mustafar, was an equal with Luke, fought evenly against an amped Maul, killed four out of eight Jedi (long before reaching his peak), killed five/six Jedi without any effort (again, long before reaching his peak), beat the Dark Woman, beat Roan Shryne, beat Bol Chatak, etc. If Mace is a more competent swordsman, the superseding quality of his abilities over Vader's is marginal. Considering the fact that Vader is much harder to drop and the fact that Vader is extensively more powerful, he could win a majority over Mace.

Mace is slightly better than Maul. He was an equal with Dooku, whose own degree of lightsaber prowess is a discernibly more refined duelist. It would be a close fight though.

Battle 1: Luke Skywalker VS Count Dooku = Luke Skywalker from Episode 6 wins

Battle 2: Princess Leia Organa VS Jango Fett = Jango Wins easily

Battle 3:Luke Skywalker VS Boba Fett = They kinda fought in Empire Strikes Back and in ROTJ. Luke Skywalker wins he almost beat him on his own but had to fight other people.

Battle 4: Luke Skywalker VS Darth Maul = ROTJ Luke wins

Battle 5:Qui Gonn Jinn VS Han Solo = Qui Gonn Jinn wins with incredible ease. Could kill 5 Han Solos with relatively no difficulty

Battle 6: Qui Gon Jinn VS Count Dooku = Much as I like Jinn he never surpassed his master

Battle 7: Qui Gon Jinn VS Boba Fett = Qui Gon

Battle 8: Anakin Skywalker VS Darth Maul = Episode III Anakin wins

Battle 9 Mace Windu VS Darth Vader = Darth Vader

Battle 10: Mace Windu VS Darth Maul = About even

Battle 11: Qui Gon Jinn VS Jango Fett = Qui Gon Jinn

Battle 12: Anakin Skywalker VS Boba Fett = If this was Anakin from Ep 1 and Boba from episode 2 I would think Boba as he probably recieved some training from his dad. Ep 2 idk and Ep 3 Anakin should win

Battle 13(and the final one, too): Obi Wan Kenobi VS Mace Windu = Most people will say Windu but I think they were even personally

1. RotJ and prior Luke should lose in a good fight, and Luke at the very end of the Rebellion era would lose to Tyranus in an incredibly close fight, but anything after that and Luke wins. Early-mid NR era Luke should beat the Count with difficulty, and Thrawn Trilogy Luke should win with limited difficulty. DE Luke speedblitzes or overwhelms the Count in a very short duel.

2. Leia, just about every time. She has enough lightsaber skill and Force speed to avoid practically anything Jango can launch at her. Jango's only realistic edges are his durability and possibly overall martial skill (though I doubt the latter would matter at all considering Leia's vastly greater speed), and he has no counter for Leia's telekinesis. That said, his durability could create issues for Leia, but beskar would not repel a lightsaber blow every time. Beskar'gam has been penetrated more than once by lightsabers. Jango's flight, reach and versatility (as well as range and strength of firepower) could still afford issues, but I doubt he would be able to conclusively win any round. Leia's Force power and versatility feats can match with her skill and speed feats to prevent her from being hit, and bring her victory.

3. Luke wins in a difficult fight in his TESB incarnation (although he should lose several rounds based on Fett's own skills, flight, firepower, durability, reach and versatility). RotJ Luke would win every time with moderate difficulty at best, if not fairly easily, and any iteration of Luke after the Rebellion era would stomp.

4. Pre-RotJ Luke loses. RotJ Luke would draw with Maul, but any iteration afterwards and Luke wins. By the mid-late NR era, Luke is looking to stomp.

5. Qui-Gon stomps 10/10.

6. Dooku every time. He knows Qui-Gon's form to an encyclopedic degree, and is both faster and more skilled on top of being much more powerful.

7. Qui-Gon, but in a difficult fight every round and he could lose a number of rounds with respects to Fett's versatility, firepower, flight, reach and so on. Unlike characters such as Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon has never displayed an affinity for defensive Force-generated skills such as Deflection, which would mean that his only defenses are his lightsaber (which cannot repel more powerful attacks such as from a flamethrower) and his raw speed and agility, which could fail him.

8. RotS Anakin should win, but AotC Anakin would lose in an excellent fight. In between - it's hard to say, because Anakin does have his share of inconsistencies. Ignoring that, though, he should probably win.

9. Darth Vader 7-8/10. Only slightly behind in skill, and well behind in agility, but at least as fast (contrary to popular belief), stronger, much more durable, and much more powerful.

10. Mace, probably 7-8/10. I don't think TCW Maul appeared at the time of the OP's creations, so Mace should beat TPM Maul by virtue of simply being more skilled.

11. Again, Qui-Gon, but it would be fairly difficult and he could slip up a number of rounds solely due to Fett's arsenal and Qui-Gon's lack of defensive Force powers.

12. Anakin every time. He should stomp several rounds as well.

13. Mace, 6-8/10 by virtue of being slightly more skilful and somewhat more powerful.

@i_like_swords@dccomicsrule2011 I'd like to see your takes on these.

Luke vs Dooku- Dooku. Although ROTJ Luke beat Vader, Vader was holding back. Also, Dooku is more experienced then Luke, and unlike Vader, wouldn't hold back, and Luke's unfamiliarity with Force Lightning would give Dooku a big edge in Force power.

Leia vs Jango- Seriously? A princess, with only a blaster, is equivalent to any old person in the galaxy. Jango SLAUGHTERHOUSE.

Luke vs Boba Fett- Luke. In the Sarlacc Pit, Luke cut Fett's blaster clearly due to speed. Fett wouldn't be able to beat Luke, although it would be a close fight, Luke's skill with Djem So and Soresu, perfect for blast deflection, would render Fett useless.

Luke vs Darth Maul- Hmm. I say Maul. ROTJ Luke only beat Vader because the Sith Lord held back. Maul is quicker and more agile then Vader. Although Luke has greater power with the Force, and that's his only edge, Maul is better with a lightsaber (this is even more significant if Maul has his saberstaff, a weapon Luke wouldn't know how to effectively fight.)

Qui-Gon vs Han- man, WTF? This is as ridiculous as Leia vs Jango. Even if he has no lightsaber, Qui-Gon SLAUGHTERHOUSE. If Jinn has his saber, all it takes is blast deflection or a speedy attack and slice. If he has no lightsaber, he then has to dodge all bolts and beat Han up.

Qui-Gon vs Dooku- Dooku. Although Qui-Gon is younger, he gives into fatigue easier. His style, Ataru, is physically demanding, and Makashi isn't. Makashi is centered towards lightsaber combat, and Dooku knows every weakness of Ataru. Qui-Gon has said to never have beaten Dooku in a sparring match. Also, Dooku owns Qui-Gon in terms of the Force. Qui-Gon is good with Force Push, shoves and throws, but Dooku is a master of Force Choke, Force Lightning and others, and would beat Qui-Gon.

Qui-Gon vs Boba Fett- It depends. I think Boba 5,5/10. Boba is a very skilled Jedi Killer, but qui gon is a skilled Jedi Master. If Boba holds up long enough, Jinn gets tired, and Boba can finish him off. If not, goodbye Boba.

Anakin vs Maul- ROTS Anakin. He is as good with a lightsaber, and no style (Djem So or Juyo) has any advantage over the other. In the Force, this is where Anakin stomps. He has better potential, and more powerful abilities, as well as variety. Physically, Anakin is as fast as Maul, and although Maul is more fit, it's not a decisive edge.

Vader vs Mace- Stalemate, or Vader. Although Vaapad can feed on Vader's Dark Side power, I don't think it's enough. They're equals with a blade, and Vader's personalized, hybrid style would catch Windu off guard, and Vader would have knowledge about Form VII to some extent. Although Mace is capable of Force Crush, powerful pushes and throws, Vader I think is as good or better. He has more potential and raw power, and he can Choke multiple people at a time, push, and probably crush as well. Vader has the clear physical edge, with greater strength and endurance.

Mace vs Maul- Mace. He is a slightly better duelist, more experienced, and Mace's variant of form VII (Vaapad), is much better then Maul's (Juyo). Maul's rage and frenzy would feed Windu, and Mace is more powerful with the Force, with Crush and those things, although Maul's not far behind. Physically, Maul is more fit and maybe has a slight edge, but Mace makes up for it in skill and power.

Qui-Gon vs Jango- The same thing as Boba. If Jango can hold out long enough and tire Jinn, then he wins. If not, Qui-Gon. I think the fight wouldn't last that long, as Qui-Gon was considered near equal to Mace in saber skill, and Mace easily deflected Jango's blasts.

Anakin vs Boba- Anakin. Anakin is very powerful with the Force, and he is a master at blast redirection, so I think it should be a solid 8-10/10 majority.

Obi-Wan vs Mace- Hmm... I want to say Mace, but really I'm somehow leaning towards Obi. Obi has no rage or Dark Side that Windu can feed on, and his Soresu should most definitely keep out Windu's strikes. Even if Windu uses Juyo. It's not enough. The deciding factor is the Force. Mace could possibly stomp Obi-Wan with the Force. But, like the duel with Anakin, Mace would be frustrated, and Kenobi would tire him out and maybe even outsmart him. Still, I think it's a 5.1/10, near stalemate.
