I've been reading a few of these battles, pretty new to comics, want to get a feel for how powerful my favorite hero is. Who is the most powerful foe spider man could defeat?

Spider-Man can't beat any Entities barring some serious plot device.

Entities are usually high level abstracts, like Galactus and Death. Spider-Man can't stand up to any entities.

The most powerful character he can beat is a different story. For that, you should check here

http://www.comicvine.com/forums/battles/7/the-most-powerful-character-spiderman-can-beat/648283/

Spider-Man is tough to pin down in that, he can basically hang with anyone from Batman to Hulk, thanks to his spider sense and agility. If he goes up against Juggernaut, Juggs better be ready for a loooong day, because he's gonna have a tough time hitting Spidey.

However, Spider-Man can't actually beat Juggernaut. Just avoid him. If you ask me, the most powerful guy he can beat is maybe the Thing.

The trouble with gauging Spider-Man's power is that he falls that into that category of "just above street leveler" and "just below non-street levelers." Now obviously, Spider-Man isn't going to be hanging with universal beings, we can scratch off all cosmic characters right away. I think that after a long day of dodging and hitting, Spider-Man could probably beat Hulk at regular power levels.

Not without some crazy prep.

You're massively underestimating how powerful Hulk is

Hulk would just keep getting more and more enraged at Parker for not being able to hit him. Eventually Hulk thunderclaps or does some massive AOE smashing

Angry Hulk= Dead Spidey
