Obi Wan has some pretty impressive feats to his credit. Off the top of my head, he beat Darth Maul, General Grievous, and Anakin. Darth Maul is pretty cool, but Kenobi's the best.

I would agree with this, but he and Anakin were more evenly matched than anything else. Ben won because of his experience and Anakin's arrogance sort of held him back more so than his skill with the light-saber.

Either Movie Deadpool or Movie Palpitine.

(I know Mace Windu beat him but JediXMan provided me evidence that says he went easy on him)

On screen feats would be Obi Wan out of that list

If it goes by implication, supposedly Connor Macleod had learned almost every sword combat style on the planet

Will Turner: You cheated.

Jack Sparrow: Pirate.

Will Turner: Where’s Elizabeth?

Jack Sparrow: She’s safe, just like I promised. She’s all set to marry Norrington, just like she promised. And you get to die for her, just like you promised. So we’re all men of our word really… except for, of course, Elizabeth, who is in fact, a woman.

@Libertyprime: Don't worry I know he's not the best but he is one of my favorites along with Zatoichi. The one made in the 80's at least, that's my favorite version.

Two questions. Is any character that has appeared in a movie viable and by greatest do you mean actual skill with a sword, or simply who would beat all the others 1v1? Because depending on your answer, I could just start listing various anime characters that curbstomp everyone that I recognize in this thread.

#35 Posted by kajitatsu (532 posts) - 1 year, 5 months ago - Show Bio

@Libertyprime: Zatoichi is a blind swordsman, these are two versions of him.

In the first one he slices through a wooden support beam, in the second one he slices through a statue... I think he's still the best unless someone can show me better. Also this guy's human, no magic or anything like that.

#36 Posted by Jedi Wolverine (176 posts) - 1 year, 5 months ago - Show Bio

@kajitatsu- nice clips of Zatoichi,

Makes me think that if Daredevil used a sword and was completely nonchalant in his fights then he would BE Zatoichi lol

Li Mu Bai ( Crouching Tiger)

Inigo Montoya (Princess Bride)
Ling Wu Ching ( Swordsman II)

I lack knowledge on some of them, but I do know most of them. I'd actually say Deadpool. The guy is fast and skilled. He can block bullets, defect, and slice bullets in half. Anakin would be my second choice. Jedi can block blaster bolts (which is impressive don't get me wrong. But bullets are faster than blaster bolts. And if we're going by the movies only, there really isn't anybody who, imo, is fast enough to block bullets.

I'd go Li Mu Bai. Where's D'Artagnan?

#45 Posted by ElectricSharkSuperman (18 posts) - 11 months, 10 days ago - Show Bio

Ned Stark from Game of thrones, he's by far the best swordsman i've seen and is unbeatable. I can actually see him being the one who becomes the king in the series tbh.

1. Jack Sparrow

2. Dead Pool

3. Obi-Wan

My logic is flawless.

@Jeronimo: I thought you were going to say Nameless from Storm Riders.
