Naruto is definitely the smartest considering he's really the only one who has gone to school. I don't know a lot about nastu but i know luffy is an idiot
There are some official character stats. Original Naruto, his intelligence stat was 1/5. It's currently 3/5. Natsu has a character stat with intelligence of 2/5. I've been currently unable to find Luffy's character stats. The manga artist might not have made them. I'll continue looking.
@alakemega123: Naruto acts pretty dumb at times too. Yes he does some inventive battle tactics but for the most part hes an idiot hell they're all idiots
In terms of battle tactics and such, Naruto is smarter than the others. Luffy is definitely inventive but not on the same level as Naruto is. Natsu just kicks and punches and then gets lucky
i think natsu is a little smarter then both of them as against sting and rouge he figured out their attack pattern and since then didn't get hit and completely annihilated them.
@colliderz: natsu dosen't just hit and get lucky in the dragon slayer fight he found out exactly how their fighting style is and countered them without getting hit once
