Who can beat Thanos?

• No plot devices, CIS, PIS, or jobbing.
• Anyone who is a skyfather or above in power is not allowed.
• The character does not necessarily have to be from DC or Marvel.

1. In a straight up fight.

2. In a prep fight.

This is a really tough fight though. With prep,Im not killemall but it would be a short list

Not positive if they could, but would be competitive in my view.

When Drax blew him up it was quite epic.

Spawn can stalemate him.

Below Skyfather level narrows it down. But DBZverse's God of Destruction, Bills can take out Thanos if he does not have any sort of amplification.

Nah I don't see any version of Hulk that doesn't have a massive upgrade beating Thanos.

Thanos respects Hulk power and says he seeks to avoid conflicts with him. Keep in mind Thanos has only encountered "weaker" incarnations of Hulk, not him at "World Breaker" levels.

I still contend the fight would be competitive. Others are free to disagree.

@lowlaville: It doesn't matter what Bills can bust, if he has no TP defence, Thanos's TP would work just as well against him as it would a regular person.

It was a statement made by Bills master, Whiss. Its quite well supported by the fact that Bills defeated god form Goku and called him his second strongest opponent that he has faced. Goku at that point in GT at SSJ4 has power quantified to be able to bust an entire solar system. And the fight with God Goku proved he is FTL to say the least. And the fact that Bills wasn't even serious when he beat Goku proves it.

Later, he called himself the 7th God of Destruction in the entire DBZ multiverse. He said there were 12 universes in total. That already makes Bills a multiversal being, who according to his master, was capable of destroying Galaxies.

Omega Shenron was on a universal level. The gap was significant between Goku and Shenron, but to place Goku at solar system level is just lowballing

@evil_incarnate: Hulk is considerably stronger and more durable than Thanos. Thanos can control a base level Hulk's limbs, as he showed in Avengers Assemble, but that would last about a minute then Hulk would get mad and tank it.

The problem is Thanos cannot die. If he's killed he instantly regenerates - that's what happened when Drax blew him up with an anti matter device. If you count killing Thanos for a few seconds as a win or knocking him out as a win then he can be beaten by those with mind control resistance and high durability.

Doctor Strange, Adam Warlock, Wanda and other magicians can beat him and Ghost Rider (sick durability and penance stare).

@18hunt: Are you seriously suggesting Thanos is stronger and more durable than the Hulk? If you are come back when Thanos has tanked the weight of a star, stopped a black hole with his hands, resisted the force of an INFINITE number of dimensions, survived attacks at a molecular level etc, etc
