Hmm, non-magic non- cosmic...the people who'd have a chance i think...

-PR Molecule Man (don't think he's technically cosmic, I would consider Beyonder cosmic though since he's from another dimension)

-Dark Phoenix

-The Demogorge (if you consider elder gods to be non-mystic?)

-Nebulose (he gave the LT trouble, but his staff had absorbed Zom's energy...so that might be technically mystic)

-Onslaught...probly not

-A Mindless One (they're indestructible and have magic resistance)

-Any of the stronger abstracts (if you don't consider them cosmics)

The 60's-70's Classic Dr. Strange is not really beatable by anyone, especially a non-cosmic, non-mystic. From a Marvel Universe-logic standpoint, he's avatar / semi-avatar to many different nigh-omnipotent cosmic entities who want him alive, he has an understanding of the working of the omniverse that's rivaled by few beings, he has passive magics that protect and alert him from threats, and if he ever got killed he'd just end up beating Death like he always does and come back to life. And from a PIS standpoint, he's essentially a human deus ex machina...ever if he's put into some unwinnable situation, he'll still somehow create a way to win. Against the 80's-90's Doc Strange however, I'd say most on the list above could take him.

Well.

  • -PR Molecule Man can't beat him because "molecules" are tied to physically reality..... If Dr. Strange turns into his astral form, physical reality can't harm him. Spirits are not made out of atoms.
  • -Dark Phoenix is able to affect frequency waves of the astral planes, however, Dr. Strange will will his consciousness above the astral planes to the say, 16th dimension. Classic Strange's consciousness was able to match Living Tribunal's and I believe the Phoenix Force is shy under the 16th dimension. It can't defy the Living Tribunal.
  • -The Demogorge is mystical, but under extradimensional. Classic Strange will beat Demogorge. Demogorge is only above Pantheon Gods. Not extradimensional energy.
  • -Nebulose is extradimension and thus mystical. He is capable of defeating Classic Strange. However... He is Mystical so does not count.
  • -Onslaught is able to be in par to Strange in the Astral Planes, but once Dr. Strange goes beyond Astral, Onlsaught stands no chance.
  • -A Mindless One are also mystical. They don't count.
  • -Abstracts are technically conceptual ideas combined by all living creatures, Classic Strange can defeat the Abstracts by making all sentient life, not able to think of ideas anymore. (Just like Beyonder did)

Didn't Hulk basically do this in WW Hulk? Strange was sorcerer supreme AND using the essence of Zom.
