Wendigo VS Werewolf

Unless it's packing silver I doubt it. Not saying it would win easily, but werewolves in mythology need silver to be killed.

Yes it would, in Objiwe mythology Wendigos possessed immense strength that just grew more and more powerful as they devoured more flesh, they reached giant size. Algonquin mythology states they have power over Winter and Cold. This in addition to power over disease and starvation. Some Innu legends state they can actually possess mortals. The Algonquin further state they have great spiritual powers and are powerful malevolent magicians. Only the most powerful shamans had the power and knowledge to actually stand a chance against wendigos.
Werewolves in actual real mythology do not possess anything close to those powers, they are simply people cursed or possessing the power through sorcery to take the form of wolves and wolf-like monsters. Even the alledged invulnerability except to silver is largely a product of 19th century writers embellishing older tales. In most of the myths, they can be killed by mundane weapons and most legends end with hunters cornering one and killing it or the werewolf being executed after capture and trial
@RidTom: And if you want to get super technical, lycanthrope is the delusion you turn into a wolf and wendigo syndrome is basically an extreme case of cabin fever, leading to a break in sanity causing the person to develope an insatiable desire to eat human flesh even when other food sources were readily available, believing themselves to be turning into a monster
werewolf would take this, wendigo's have a drive to eat, werewolves have a drive to mutilate and rip things apart.

What I find funny is that in the older White Wolf gaming series Wendigo is also a tribe of werewolves.
Werewolf may or may not be unkillable except to silver but I'd wager a wendigo could defeat one. You don't need to kill to win.
Wendigo. Wayy too strong
Doubt he is stronger than a werewolf.A werewolf would tear him to shreds.
Wendigo mauls the werewolf then buries it to the cursed Micmac Burial Ground from Pet Semetary and makes the werewolf his vessel(biacth).
Werewolf: "I am the wolfman, I am in the big 3 of horror classics. You are just a canadian bigfoot."
Wendigo: "Congratualtions on being famous, now everone knows how to kill you, ask the average person what kills a Wendigo."
Werewolf: "Other than being killed by the Winchesters, what have you done in the last... ever?"
Wendigo: "Well I was not associated with twilight."
Werewolf: "Good point, go ahead and kill me."
Werewolfs can be killed or stopped OR healed with more than just silver. Cause its a mythological creature from europe, our deliverances are quite quite big by that. Folks believed that you can kill or/eather stop a Werewolf by force him to swallow a virgins handkerchief... or bridal veil... sounds kinda stupid, right? But wheres the difference in the believings that "only silver can kill a werewolf".
And btw.: A Wendigo is NOT a kind of bigfootish creature, its more like a spiritual creature who has somekind of issue of a parasite, which infiltrate his victims by haunting them in their dreams or slips in when they eat human flesh.
The Wendigo would win so easily it's not funny.
werewolves always stomp, wendigo is badass but not super badass
They can't kill eachother. They can both only be killed by silver weapons(fire can hurt and ward wendigos off, but not kill them). The wendigo is harder to kill and it even has more powers, but that doesn't mean it can kill the werewolf. Or the other way around. If it's the werewolf type that can't control its transformation, the wendigo will likely win simply because the werewolf would inevitably transform to human form, during which their powers are significantly weaker. How fed the wendigo is or whether or not there's a full moon might also be a factor.
That said, they might not even fight to begin with. Wendigos share a close kinship with beasts, particularly predatory beasts.
Wendigo possesses werewolf.
@the_legendary_supersaiyan_hulk: Wendiwolf. Weredigo. Both sound awesome.
Well if the original legends are true then wendigo wins hands down. However if werewolves are anything like real wolves then a wendigo would be fighting as many as 30 werewolves. Plus wendigo's only eat humans, so they may not even attack the werewolves while they are in the beast-like state. The wendigo would also have the advantage of being huge and extremely powerful. If we only consider the original legends then wendigo would rule supreme but if we consider the social behavior of wolves and assume that werewolves also hunt in packs then they might have a chance, might.
