Warriors Three vs Ares

Dang I'm torn on this one. I really think that the Warriors three do not get enough credit but I do not think they are going to take down Ares.

Throw in Baldur for good measure and I'll give them the win. :P

Hasn't he gone toe to toe with Herc before as well as Thor? Either one of whom can take out the Warriors Three? Granted they are not showcased nearly enough to have feats to measure up, but I would think that Ares outclasses them."

CURBSTOMP: Volstagg sits on Ares and suffocates him while partaking in a gallon of mead.

I think Hogan can hang with Ares (not beat him though). So the others would just tip it in their favor.

I'm going to Bump this. I know that I made a spite post with my battle, but I am curious in seeing how this go. I'd vote the Warriors Three.

Now if this was dc Ares and not Marvel, this fight would have a different outcome.

Ares is a 70 tonner. Volstagg and Hogun are 35 tonners and Fandral is a 30 tonner. I am leaning towards Ares as Volstagg is really slow and I think Ares is more durable than the others and his weapons and armor, made by Hephastus and are the equivalent of adamantium, are better.

Ares takes this, he gave hercules a good fight.

That is where the word martial comes from. Like Martial Arts. He was the God of War, because of that he was a master of all styles of armed and unarmed combat. He can probably use their weapons better than they can. Not to mention that he has had thousands of years to perfect his art. He could probably put a hole in all of them with one swing of an axe. He also has more armor than them, which would protect him from their weapons. Also has limited magical ability along with a healing factor.

I love how much credit you give Ares. I really do. He's my favorite potential character in Marvel. But he needs actual feats. Everyone says he gave Herc a good fight, but that was only once out of how many times? And that one time, a lot of people believe that Herc was holding back. Now I've never read it, but dang I really want to. Anyways, lets look at the more noticeable things Ares has done.

• Put up a good fight with Hercules. Once.(If I'm wrong on this, please tell me. From what I've seen, it's only been once)
• Defeated A-bomb.
• Lit himself on fire and was thrown into an army and killed a hell of a lot of them.
• Took a bag of gernades like they were nothing.

Now lets look at the bad stuff:

• Bullets do pierce his skin. He just has an amazing healing factor
• Sentry Ripped him in half.
• Hercules and Thor both have defeated him many times. Some seemed to easy.
• WWH beat him in less than three seconds.
• Even with his 7/7 fight skills, knowledge of every fighting skill on Earth, why is it that he fights like a jobber?

Now lets look at the Warriors Three feats:

Pretty powerful for Hogun

Hogun taking on Fenrir

Vostagg has wounded Fenrir

Vostagg strength feat.

And this is how good Vostagg weapon can block.

My real question is: IF Ares is so good, why does it seem like whenever he goes against someone in the big leagues, he loses.

I have a feeling he'd lose this fight. Not that I doubt his ability, but I doubt the ability of his writers.

Ares is actually kindof a chump. Both in Marvel and in Greek mythology (where he frequently lost to mortals).
