Commanders get 10 hours each to come up with a battle strategy 
Who Wins?  
 
*NOTE: This is not Leonidis and THE 300 Spartans please make sure you don't use exaggerated feats from the movies  
 

In an open field 3 way battle, i'd give this to the Pretorians.

I'd give this to the Spartans since they were trained from birth to become a warrior along with their fighting skills and strength.

The Praetorians were all the elite of the elite. They were no joke. They are also centuries after the Spartans. Which is to say more sophisticated as they incorporated the best strategems from all cultures absorbed into the Roman Empire. Including Sparta. So ya, Pretorians take this IMO.

I would say the Varangian Guard if they didn't have a reputation for excessive drinking.
So i am going with the romans for this one.
