Wan, Aang, Korra vs Combustion Man, P'li

In this battle, Avatars Wan, Aang, and Korra will take on the combustion benders Combustion Man and P'li, who will win?

Korra is in perfect health. No Avatar State for any of the Avatars. They will have different elemental restrictions each round.

Fight takes place where Aang first fought Combustion Man (see picture). Time is noon. Starting distance is 30 feet.

All are in character but completely determined. victory by ko or death

Round 1:

Aang has airbending only, Korra and Wan have firebending only

Round 2:

Avatars all have airbending and firebending

Who wins?

Avatars stomp there can ONLY BE WAN!

@arcus: with all seriousness aside Avatars win 6/10 due to the limit of bending, and avatars win a vast majority with all elements. This is due to the fact that they are all somewhat and could say way to more agile for them.

Hmmm...Round 1 could very well go to the combustion benders, but I think the #'s, ability to counter fire attacks, and Aang's air bending to help defend would secure a slight majority.

Round 2 - Avatars for a clear majority. Air will give them the agility and defense they need to take the P'Li and CM.

It's worth remembering that Aang couldn't take CM with air, water, and earth, neither could the rest of the Gaang (except Sokka :)

In all seriousness, why do you think the Avatars?

@arcus: If they work together well, in round 1 Wan and Korra can deflect and defend any blasts, occupying the combustion benders, while Aang can speed his way over there and hold them up long enough until Wan and Korra arrive to help, but in the distraction process, Korra and Wan could be overwhelmed.

In round 2 it is roughly the same scenario, but Korra and Wan can dodge much better.

Bloodlusted Aang can solo both rounds tbh....

However, IC, the Avatars still win. They have the skill, mobility and numbers advantage.

Round 1 goes to the combustionbenders. P'li's got top tier anti fire defenses, and we've already seen CM vs Aang play out.

Round 2 should theoretically go to the avatars. It makes Korra and especially Wan significantly more mobile, although P'li's fire defenses are going to be tough to get through.

@mial42: Agreed with round 1 although they aren't taking it without a large amount of difficulty.

In round 2 Korra can block everything the have apart from CM's strongest blasts and even that's debatable. Wan will be a nightmare/ near enough impossible to tag with a nimbus cloud and Aang is Aang. They aren't taking a single victory out of 10 in this round as far as i'm concerned and P'lis antifire defence doesn't really matter when Korra and Aang have air.

@vengefulshot: It does matter. Wan's going to have a seriously difficult time doing damage with his fire being nullified, even if he isn't getting tagged. CM's blasts have strained Aang's airbending to it's limits, he can blast through Korra's defenses. Aang has a difficult time doing damage with air in-character, and his fire is useless. Korra's the most well rounded here, but her evasion isn't quite enough for CM. I still think the avatars should win due to numbers, but it's not going to be easy, and a mistake could easily lead to a loss.
