Voldemort vs Solomon Grundy

Grundy for the crush

Grundy could maybe take an avada kavadra. As far as I am concerned, its a human buster. But I'd love to be convinced otherwise.

I vaguely remember it killing some other stuff, but nothing of this durability that I remember, but I really just want to know

Since victory conditions arent specified, is there any way possible for Voldy to BFR or at least KO him? Like some sleep spell or something.

@thanofleeze: I'll still go with Grundy. Voldemort seems like a prideful dude who will take offense to his avada kadavra not working. Also Grundy has ranged attacks with his dead roots helping him. They've even caught Jay garrick, so yea, I'll go with ol grundy

Grundy should win this without much trouble. Providing Voldy doesn't just constantly phase.

when has AK hurt anyone on his level anyway? I really want to know. Is there some way to know if it would kill grundy? does it kill dragons? or anything with high dura?

I don't get why Tom is lowballed on this forum. He probably know hundreds of spells and Dumbledore himself said Voldemort can crack any shield

@easternwind: Been saying that for years. Avada Kedavra is overrated and won't give so much as a nosebleed to anyone with decent magic defense outside the HP world.

I mean it is magic, but you would need power scaling to determine how strong it is. Unless I am missin somthing

if this is new52 grundy with power of the rot that has pretty much been made into goo(i think he fell from space) and reformed, pretty sure he can take it, voldemort might be able to bfr him or immobilize him, but i dont see a real ko or kill happening

Voldemort takes this.

There are spells that will make Solomon stop in his tracks like levicorpus, Wingardium leviosa,Tarantallegra and/ or Stupifey. After that, Voldemort can do with Solomon grundy what he wants. One more thing spells of the HP universe are getting weaker when the target is more durable (hagrid when he was getting arrested took more than one and could escape anyway)

Voldemort doesn't only have mastery in Avedra Kedavra. He also masters Crucio (torturing pain) and Imperio (mind control), among many other lesser spells.

Crucio won't work, Solomon doesn't feel pain. But Voldemort can still use other spells. He created a lake full of zombie like creatures. Given preparation time he definitely wins

Solomon wins for sure. He's already dead, reforms his body and has rot roots everywhere. They'll get a hold of Tom and break him.

Voldemort won't die unless you destroy the horcruxes. A fight till death means a stalemate. besides win by KO or BFR, killing solomon isn't neccesary. And using rot roots to kill Voldemort when his former school teaches about how to counter strangling plants?
