Who'll takes it all?
Vandal Savage vs Sebastian Shaw
Depends on what Savage tries to do. People forget that Shaw starts off as a baseline human and requires energy in order to become superhuman. If Savage tried to defeat Shaw through blunt force then he will be in a world of trouble. However, if Savage went for the throat, either by choking him out or biting open his jugular, then Savage would win. Savage is most likely a better fighter, due to his longer life span, and would effectively stomp Shaw in a pure skills showing.

True, but Shaw can punch a wall repeatedly to empower himself, or he can hit his opponents to empower himself.
As for cutting him, he starts off pretty resistant/immune to most forms of physical assault. The best way to kill him is either by A) Slowly applying pressure, ensuring as little kinetic energy is applied as possible or B) Completely submission to where he can't move (as he can rub his wrists against his restraints to build up friction).
To attack him head on with a powerful attack actually empowers him quite a bit and quickly. People have tried stabbing him in the past (even with adamantium IIRC), and it's not the best approach.

@floopay: The problem is that Shaw was always empowered in all of encounters. When he was part of the Hellfire Club, he had henchmen who regularly beat on him so he would be superhuman. So it's hard to define what exactly is normal level for Shaw. Given that Shaw can now absorb all types of energy, I don't know what to really think anymore.
The best way to defeat him would be to deprive him of movement or deprive him of oxygen. Perhaps if Savage could get him in a sleeper hold or some other position that deprives Shaw of oxygen, then he does have a chance of winning. I don't know much about Savage, so I can't comment on what his usual methods of attacking people entail.
Tough call,,I want to say savage but shaw is pretty beast..I think vandal will need some prep or prior knowledge to pull off a win,,plus is not often shaw goes into a fight with out some energy stored up
