good match up, I *think* Vamp may just edge it due to his speed, but I haven't read anything with gambit in a while, I'm open to convincing that I'm wrong
Vamp, running on water, nuff said.
And casually leaning out of the way of bullets.
And sitting on water.
And surviving getting shot in the head.
And blitzing Raiden.
I don't see how sitting on water means much....If anything it sort of takes away from vamp running on water. And IIRC when snake shot vamp in the head he was briefly incapacitated.
Vamp should still win a strong majority though. He has every advantage which matters.
Vamp wins this handily. Fast enough to dance around Cyborg Ninja Raiden. Can catch your shadow with a blade. Runs on water and 300 feet of vertical surface. Can swim in "Air Water". Has muscle reading ability. Wolverine Regen due to Nanomachines.
He wins this, flawless victory.
I haven't played that game in too long, forgot about half the stuff mentioned above. Yeah, Vamps not losing here.
Vamp would have the definite advantage here, especially with the surreal abilities the nanomachines give him. He was able to deflect automatic fire from a SEAL team just by spinning with a throwing blade in MGS2, held his own against cyborg Raiden and damaged him considerably in their first fight during MGS4 who showed very impressive feats in MG:Rising. I think that Gambit could put up a good show with his kinetic charge, but otherwise, I don't see him being able to put Vamp down.

Yeah, for all of five seconds.
Raiden = Fast enough to dodge Bullets, can lift and toss hundreds of tons with ease. Vamp pummeled Raiden. Gambit loses. Spite.

Its impressive as he ran on the water so fast it left a Speed Boat splash trail behind him. He then from the water jump and ran straight up easy 300 feet of concrete column, he was booking.

I was referring to him being incapacitated by a headshot.
Also, "Look at that son of a btch go! He haulin' a$$!"

I was saying that standing still on water isn't impressive not vamp running up walls and on water (all though vamp standing on water kind of takes away from him running on water).

He was incapacitated longer then that. Well over a minute.
1:50-4:15.
Just to clarify this isn't an argument for gambit. I just disagree with some of the showings that were brought up for vamp.
Gambit kills him, easily, better in almost every aspect

Vamp's running on water was due to developmental issues, they didn;t have time to put another boss, Chinaman, in MGS2 so they gave his wall and water running abilities to Vamp. They have nothing to do with speed either, otherwise Vamp wouldn't be able to stand and sit on the water either

Vamp can casually lean out of the way of bullets because of his ability to hear muscle movements, when this didn't work fully on Raiden he had trouble hearing his muscles and
The rest of those feats are mediocre, getting shot in the head means nothing when Gambit can blow him to hell
