Ignoring the fact that America has more than twice the population, more money, larger industry & a larger military?

America has better weapons, more money, a better military, Larger military, it would be a bloody war with a lot of deaths, but America wins.

Sell off of Soviet Arms post Cold War puts Russia at a disadvantage but both go Nuclear and both lose. Both are muderstomped by China in the immediate aftermath.

The world loses

Russian military is underfunded, aging, and lacks the infrastructure, cohesion, and technology to go head to head with the U.S. Maybe China, but not the Russia of today. However, it would be a devastating war for both sides nonetheless for both sides, Russia is also not a push-over.
