Unrealistic Tanks?

So, yeah, I was just wondering who's tanked a hit that they no way should be able to tank. That is all.

I believe Batman tanked a hit from Mongul...

there's a reason batman was still alive in that : he's the only one that can prevent the hellspores from activating and destroying apokolips. DS killing batman won't stop the detonation of the hellspores.

Any character getting hit by large building busting forces and surviving. Realistically no creature can tank that, it's all fiction. In real life people don't get Superpowers, they die or get cancer.

No. Batman borrowed Barda Free's Mother Box. Mother Box allowed Batman access to Her power, and thus either generated a skin-tight force field and/or a spatial distortion around the Dark Knight to cushion the horrendous blows from the Apokoliptian monarch.

I guess, but that would be true mostly sans adamantium skeleton. Having an indestructible skeleton system would really help with something like that.

Still, punches like that would have to rattle his brain into mush, turn organs to jelly etc.

Well, it's unrealistic because Saitama's 'back story' is that he got all he powers just from working out everyday for 3 years.... so that in no way gives him the capability to tank a hit that sent him to the freaking moon. But even ignoring that, he didn't even get a scratch on him. Not even one. I mean, seriously, I understand that he is a joke character, but still. He should at least be a little bloody from that sort of hit.

well, if you go by saitama's back story, he's unrealistic from the first page of his appearance. Training for three years isn't even enough to become Olympics champion. There's obviously something else about his powers that hasn't been explained yet.

And going by the rate he's progressing.. I don't see how that's unrealistic. He doesn't have an established level yet, to say this is out of his league. Heck, he's not even serious yet..

Batman took a few hits from Darkseid. I know Darkseid was holdin' back, an' Batman was armored, but still. One punch from Darkseid should flatten Batman. An' didn't Batman take a hit from Mongul too? Ye…that should'a flattened Batman aswell. I also think Abomination's wife survived a pim* smack from Abomination. I dunno if he was holdin' back or not, but it definitely should'a crushed her to pieces. There are waaaaay more than these, but these are some I can think of.

He had a mother box people. Read the last part of the scan. Those things increase durability.

@highaccuser: increased to a point that darkseid's strength class don't hurt ? it's very hard for me to think darkseid isn't holding back in that storyline when batman hold something that darkseid won't even hurt him off in the end.

Yeah...mother boxes are a big deal. I don't think Darkseid was holding back then, but either way there's no PIS.
