Well, they have similar names and a both robots, so why not have them fight each other?

Ultron is firstly able to destroy a planet or wipe out the surface of one with nuclear weapons. Later he gets much stronger and kills all the Avengers in a stronger state (I think).

Unicron, as it is well known, is usually a planet devourer. However, I hear he is also capable of devouring Universes/dimensions in some forms.

First fight they are in their planet-destroying forms, second in their strongest.

Ultron. Technopathy gives him the win here. He takes over Unicron and has a new pet.

Unicron: His techcopathy is more powerful. He's one of two Gods that created all things in the Universe or rather, Transformer multiverse.

Unicron is far above Ultron and Ultron is awesome but he loses this one.

Unicron is more than a machine, he's actually a Chaos God who destroys entire universes after picking them clean of inhabited worlds out of sheer spite for creation. The robot you see is nothing more than a shell. I think that's way beyond Ultron's capability to deal with.

This is beyond Spite. Unicron isn't even a robot, he's technically an abstract entity like Galactus or Living Tribunal he just happens to wear a robot shell

No spite, just curiousity.

@KingOfAsh: To relieve your curiosity I'll inform you that this fight is on par with The Hulk vs a small kitten

Jeez, I didn't know the Transformers universe included such a ridiculously godmodded character/characters. When did they start doing that? Holy crap

Simon Furman is the one most responsible for creating the Cosmology of Transformers in the Marvel tie-in comics made for Transformers during the 80s. It's been fleshed out over the years by Simon himself and other writers. Now in Transformers, you have not one, but three universe devouring monstrosities. The D-void, an undead Lovecraftian mess of tentacles from an entire undead universe, yes as in the universe itself is undead, who devours living realities and worlds. And Hytherion, a being who is literally the antithesis of Time who eats at the time stream of things until their existence is nullified, including entire universes.

Also in recent IDW comics, Infestation 2 I believe, a steam punk Optimus Prime teamed up with Nikolai motherf*cking Tesla and fought and defeated THE Cthulhu, with grit, determination, badassery, a helluva lot of firepower, and buzz saw hands.

It's things like this that make IDW my favourite comic company.
