No scanner, but in Ultimates Vol. 2 I believe, he BFR'd some bomb that would wipe out the entire solar system to some barren realm which Odin cleansed eons ago. He's also teleported various members of the team with him around the world, as well as a plethora of soldiers.

616 Thor is pretty much superior in every regard based on feats alone, although Ult. Thor has exceptional skill with a variety of magical weapons, whereas 616 Thor relies heavily on his hammer.

I believe you're talking about the silver one pictured above, yes? That was a gift from some ally of Odin, I believe. Loki warped reality to make it seem like it was created by humans, along with the rest of Thor's armor, to substitute as Norway's super-soldier program. Odin eventually undid this and sent Thor back with an army of Asgardians and they fought Loki in Washington D.C.
