Ultimate Hawkeye vs. Batman

Rules:

1. Win via Incapcitation, BFR, Death, or KO

2. Follow the rules of each round

3. Provide scans or reasonings if you can.

Battlefield: Assume it is dusk. This should play to both character's strengths. Plenty of hiding places, cover, and places to set traps.

vs.

Round 1: Limited Equipment

1. Batman has standard equipment and suit

2. Hawkeye gets 10 arrows, 5 throwing knives, and 1 grenade

3. Morals On

4. Start within sight, 25 meters apart

Round 2: The Hunt

1. Both start at opposites ends of the docks, and pick their own hiding place

2. Batman has standard equipment (he can have night goggles as well)

3. Hawkeye has standard equipment

4. Both have knowledge of each other, and are tracking each other

5. Morals On

Round 3: The game is on

1. Both have 30 minutes to grab prep equipment (mines, extra devices, etc.). Can only use equipment from comics, no insider suit, nothing more devastating than a frag mine.

2. Both have 1 hour to prep

3. Both start at opposite ends of the dock, and pick their own hiding places

4. Both in standard equipment (Batman gets goggles)

5. Both have knowledge of each other, and are tracking each other

6. Morals Off

All rounds to Batman, altough they are all very close. Round 1 is the round Batman might lose on.

Very good battle. Round 1, I'll go Hawkeye pretty decisively. Round 2..Bats but close. Round 3, Bats hits Hawkeye before Hawkeye can notch an arrow.

I don't think I've EVER seen you go against Batman. HMM....

Anyway, people are saying round 1 will be the hardest for him, but I disagree. Hawkeye can have all the accuracy in the world, Batman is more than fast enough to snatch them out of the air, let alone dodge them, and with no trick arrows I don't see what Clint can do. IMO he takes all rounds.

Hawkeye has a chance in round one, but over all I think Batman would take the majority by 6/10.

Rounds two and three are Bruce all the way though.

A lot of people seem to be going with Batman rounds 2 and 3. I think they may be underestimating Hawkeye's accuracy, and his ability to track his opponents. He is an enhanced human after all (above peak levels, and his accuracy is near flawless). I think this is an even line up in all 3 rounds, each one playing to both character's strengths and weaknesses.

I think Hawkeye has a better chance in round 2 than round 1. Bats gets night vision goggles, but other than that he has nothing more than in round one, whereas Hawkeye gets to have guns and trick arrows. I think Bats will still take the majority, but Hawkeye's enhanced eyesight and uncanny accuracy should let him find and shoot Bruce at least a few times. So round 1 to Bats 9/10, Round 2 6 or 7/10, and round 3 should be 10/10.

No one is really underestimating Clint ..... its just that Bruce has alot of showings against people with arrows ..... like green arrow ... and there was that time he was chillin in the park reading the news paper as just Bruce .... when green arrows enemy Merlin tried to shoot him with an arrow from behind ..... Merlin has skill quite comparable to Oliver ..... Bruce caught the arrow ........ tossed it back without even looking in his direction ..... and broke Merlin's bow .... thats kinda why they dont think Clint has a chance .....

@Ancient_0f_Days: That is true, but I've heard catching explosive arrows can be dangerous to one's health! :P

I think he has a good chance to win via stealth, the reason I created the conditions I did, is because with his trick arrows. I think these are what will even out the rounds, he's not just shooting regular arrows, and in his standard equipment, Ultimate Hawkeye also has used rifles, pistols, and in general is an expert with firearms. These have been in his standard gear as well, it is not out of place for him to use them. Plus they have knowledge of each other, so that should also help even out the battles.

However, you do have a fair point. Hawkeye from the Ultimate comic verse does have some very impressive feats, there's no denying that. He has done things in that Universe that put his 616 counterpart to shame, and he is clearly a top tier street leveler in that Universe. However, regardless of how many feats he has, Batman still has more, and I know that's your point and I do understand it. Batman has always proven to be one of the best street levelers, and has always proven that he can contend with any good hero. That being said, I think the feats Hawkeye does have in the Ultimateverse (both hand to hand, and marksman feats) put him on a level that can, at the very least, contend with Batman.

As this is a battle thread I created, I do not wish to voice myself as an advocate for either side. When posting one opinion on one character's strengths, I am also trying to post one for the other character. I will continue to remain neutral, and I do think you make some very valid points.

That being said, i would like to see a little more debate in this thread! :D

why do batman got everything and hawkeye got only some of his things

hawkeye all. seriously the guy can kill with fingernails. no amount of prep can prepare you for fingernails coming at you. youll be like 'what is he trowing? are those fingernails coming at me....' ops im dead.

the second round im not to sure because im not what he has as standard equipment but it should be interesting

the final round definitely goes to batman because he has prep and half an hour give batman more than enough time to figure out what hawkeyes going to do.

I think batman would assume hawk is like green arrow which would be a big mistake on bats part. the hawk is a nut bar lol. great match.

Batman wins only if he takes out Clint before Clint sees him and strikes so hard Clint can't come back from his assault. Batman is limited by his morals, and without plot protection, Bruce can't survive an attack from the Ultimate Hawkeye. If I was putting money on it, Hawkeye takes round 1, Batman gets 2 if he KO's Clint in one swoop and 3 is 50/50 odds in my book. We all know Batman is a prep god, but Hawkeye can rig boobytraps too. Without plot protection it's possible to flow either way.
