Treebeard vs a Therizinosaurus.

Treebeard actually has 4 comics appearances but we're using the book version. Therizinosaurus is a standard specimen (35', 5 tons).

This is not a random choice of dinosaur: please note that one of the major theories about Therizinosaurus's three-foot-long claws is that they are used for splintering apart trees to get at the bugs inside to eat.

Battle takes place on the fields of Rohan, with no other trees nearby, starting 30' apart. Bloodlusted.

Win by KO, incapacitation, or death.

Who wins and why?

Is it fair to pair a tree destroyer against a tree?

@irhp87: I would say it is if the tree can fight back.

It's a tough tree.

And the Therizinosaurus is by no means an automatic tree-destroyer, it just has a possible route to victory.

Treebeard does this after seeing the dino destroy a tree, then proceeds to do what he did to Orthanc.

@Zaluke: You realize Charizard loses 8/10 in-game, and tends to have a significant advantage, usually, in most Pokemon media? The only way to have an even match to pair a low Level and/or low Stat Blastoise against Charizard.

@irhp87: I am indeed aware, however cases can still be made for Charizard. And besides it's not like this Dino is gonna have "super effective" moves against tree beard. Do you decide every battle using pokemon logic?

@Xaluk: I am not aware of many cases one could make for Blastoise VS Charizard which makes it fair, not without including luck or nerfing. As for how often I use Pokemon logic, it's my go-to for disadvanted examples because it's easy to understand and everyone knows how it works.

@irhp87: It's easy to understand, but that doesn't make it good. "their punches can crumple iron like tinfoil, and they can tear apart solid rock like breadcrusts." This is what is said about Ents. If anyone is at a disadvantage, it's the dino. Would you mind replying to me correctly next time? It's Zaluk, not Zaluke or xaluk. come on.

@Zaluk: I'm on mobile, deal with it. Anyway, that quote speaks to offensive power, which does certainly even things up, but doesn't mean he won't be splintered apart for his bugs. Good match though.

@irhp87: You did it right! Treebeard is a lot smarter than a Dino, so I highly doubt he's gonna let the Dino scratch him up and take it. I think treebeard is quite a bit stronger than a Dino. The ent wins.

My son says Treebeard doesn't like to be Hasty, so he will fight slowly. But the Therizinosaurus will fight fast so he might win.
