tien vs yamcha
tien vs yamcha
I see this a valid reason to bump a thread
@deathhero61: Well that was fun
Yamcha did absolutely nothing after the saiyan saga... he was at the cell games for what? He's still weaker than FP frieza
@greers_of_war: He did stuff if you count the filler, Tien didn't really do much after the Saiyan Saga either aside from nearly killing himself pushing down 2nd form Cell and deflecting Buu's attack.
But anyway Tien, though would be an interesting fight.
@wolfrazer: all of those things were 100x more helpful than Yamaha.
@greers_of_war: Yeah but it doesn't really pertain to fighting ability, I mean it's not like others couldn't have done the same ya know if they were in that position. But anyway I think were in agreement of who wins regardless so, kinda moot.
Tien bc Yamcha is such a jobber that the mere thought of rooting for him makes me feel frail. As far as low-end showings are concerned, he's only slightly above Chiaotzu which is utterly deplorable.
Tien
True facts.
Tien =or > Krillin > Yamcha
Both took out more Saibamen
And just have better showings in general
People rag on krillin but he would beat yamcha too
yamcha at best = mid multi planet tien at weakest = planet tien at cuurent = high multi planet
goku base current = high galixey goku ssj current = uiverse goku current ssj2 = double universe
goku ssj3 current = multi univers buster low goku ssjgssj current = multiversal
They're probably around the same strength. Tenshinhan spent more time at Kaio's place, but this quote from Kuririn seems to imply that the two are back to being about even by the time they meet to confront the androids. (From the Strength Checker:)
Chapter 337 (DBZ 143), P4.2
Kuririn: “I sense two huge ki near that mountain…That’s probably Yamcha and the others.”
Note: it’s Yamcha and Tenshinhan
It's also a fact that Yamcha has significantly surpassed Goku's power from the last time Dr. Gero surveyed him, which was during the fight with Vegeta, where his max output was around 32,000. Gero senses Yamcha's "unusually large" power and thinks his systems must be malfunctioning. 19 confirms that it's real, and the two conclude that it must be Son Goku. Even when they realize it isn't, they still think they can gather a "large" amount of energy from Yamcha, and these guys are both at least as strong as Freeza. IMO nothing short of Ginyu is going to constitute as substantial for someone like Freeza.
Chapter 338 (DBZ 144), P9.6-7, P10.1
Context: the androids mistake Yamcha for Goku
No.20: “A human with an unusually high energy rating is heading this way…Is the search system malfunctioning?”
No.19: “It’s not a malfunction, No.20. I’m noting the same energy.”
No.20: “It greatly surpasses human data…”
No.19: “We’ve found him already…Son Goku.”Chapter 338 (DBZ 144), P11.4
No.19: “No, it is not Son Goku…He doesn’t match the data. There’s a 96% chance this is the human known as Yamcha…”
No.20: “At any rate, we’ll be able to obtain a large amount of energy.”
Yamcha can possibly be over 100,000 at this point. In fact, if we look at filler than it's almost guaranteed. He survived in 300x gravity and had the strength to rise all the way to his feet in order to shut it down. Goku gained a power level of 90,000 just from 100x gravity. 300x, being a three times increase, would have undoubtedly crushed him at that point. Yamcha even before three years of training must have been stronger than the Goku who punked the Ginyu Special Forces and gave Captain Ginyu himself a hard time (all without Kaioken), which is surprisingly consistent with his feat of surpassing Reccoom while with Kaio.
Then we look to the Boo arc, and Yamcha has miraculously grown to a level where he can actually defeat Olibu, who was supposed to be the strongest Earthling to ever exist and had probably been training for millions of years. He also fought completely on par with Kuririn, who has been confirmed numerous times to be the strongest Earthling.
Personally as much as I like Tenshinhan, I'd be willing to throw Yamcha a bone... he has an advantage in hand-to-hand thanks to the Wolf Fang Fist, the Kamehameha is probably superior to the Dodonpa, and the Sokidan is just one of the strongest and most versatile techniques there is. He's undoubtedly the better tactician compared to Tenshinhan, and his will should be just as strong.
Tien breaks his leg again...
@nickzambuto: Nice info, thanks
@tayssti: No prob.
