@bingothemotherload: Thor has flight, weaponry, physical attributes, experience, energy projection and arguably durability over Wolverine. He'd take a little while to put down but goes down eventually.

Take away the hammer, and maybe we can talk, but right now Thor obliterates him.

can thor heal like wolverine? btw movie thor has no energy protection, and if wolvie hides inside the building, he can possibly evade the lightning. hammer would probably take more than a few hits to put him down. also, there's x helping him.

Technically, the lightning does pretty much count as projecting energy. Also Thor could just create a tornado to kill Wolverine just like he did to The Destroyer.

Thor wins via knock out. Either get rid of the hammer or give Wolverine captain America's shield.

Lol, hold on. How is movie Thor beating movie Wolverine? Wolverine with the indestructible skeleton and the regen that managed to stop Phoenix from wasting him into oblivion? Even with Thor's hammer, I highly doubt Thor would be able to put down Logan for good, not to mention that his admantium claws would be able to shred Thor when he got close.

It takes more to hurt Thor. For example, if you shoot Wolverine, he'll feel the bullet, but he'll regenerate. The bullet bounces off of Thor. Thors lightning is the energy projection I was talking about. If Wolverine hides inside a building he isn't doing a fantastic job of defeating Thor, in which case Thor waits him out or blasts lightning through every window until he hits his target. It would take 3+ hammer strikes to the skull to kill or wound for an extended period of time I would imagine.

also, there's x helping him.

Thor takes this pretty easily. Wolverine was K.Oed by falling down a tree in Last Stand. One good hit from Thor should do it.

Movie Wolverine Powers:

  • Instantaneous Regeneration: Wolverine possesses a "healing factor" which allows him to rapidly heal and recover from almost any injury in astonishingly short times and with great efficiency. Depending on the severity of the injury, Wolverine can completely heal within a matter of seconds to a matter of hours. Wolverine's healing factor is in fact so powerful that the only real way to kill him is to cut off his head (although that would be impossible due to the Adamantium bonded to his entire skeleton structure). In fact, it allowed him to stand up to and walk through a disintegrating telekinetic blast emanating from Phoenix. The same power when employed by Phoenix had completely disintegrated various other beings and it was only due to his healing factor restoring his cells at the same rate that they were getting ripped away by Phoenix that he was capable of surviving under those conditions.
    • Poison Resistance: Another aspect of Wolverine's healing factor is that his body is much more resistant to the effects of poisons and other harmful foreign substances. For example, when Stryker's commandos were assaulting Xavier's mansion, they subdued and captured several mutants with powerful tranquilizer darts which caused near-instant unconsciousness. When they attempted to subdue Wolverine with the tranquilizer darts, however, it did not significantly impede his rampage against them. At most, they momentarily made him a little groggy before he simply shrugged off the effect, as seen when he yanked out the darts when the fight was over. This also means that Wolverine has a high tolerance for alcohol and tobacco as his body can easily process small amounts of them without effect. For example, Wolverine has been a heavy cigar smoker for decades, but this has not had a long-term detrimental effect on his health.
    • Retarded Aging Process: In addition, his healing factor has prolonged his aging process, if not stopped it altogether. It is why despite the fact that he is well over 179 years old, he still possesses the physical condition of an man in his 30s' who engages in intensive physical exercise.
  • Adamantium Laced Retractable Bone Claws and Skeleton: Wolverine also possesses three retractable razor sharp bone claws on each hand. These claws and his entire skeleton have been surgically bonded with Adamantium making him indestructible. This operation was organized and performed by William Stryker and the Weapon X Program. The Adamantium benefits him as it grants him increased durability but has the drawback of making him more vulnerable to opponents with magnetically or metal-control based powers such as Magneto. The Adamantium allows his claws to tear through any substance.
  • Superhuman Strength: Wolverine is also superhumanly strong, both as an effect of his mutation (a la his regeneration) and as a result of carrying the intense extra weight of the adamantium bonded to his skeleton around as body mass he has an increased striking strength and most likely lifting strength as well, as he was able to fling a "mercenary" at the end each set of claws into the air at least 10 feet.
  • Superhuman Speed: Is able to run faster than 30 mph. When sensing Victor was near and going after Kayla, he was able leave from his job site and reach her car in a minute.
  • Superhuman Endurance: Thanks to his regenerative powers, Wolverine's fatigue toxins are halted for hours, allowing him to engage in physical activity for far longer than a normal human can.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Has greater reflexes than a normal human.
  • Superhuman Agility: Has greater agility than that of a normal human. He had climb a large tree in Magneto's camp to avoid some of the mutants there and leap off the tree with a backwards flip and land on his feet.
  • Insulated Weather Adaptation: Wolverine's body is highly resistant to certain elemental extremes, particularly cold, to the extent that he can sleep nude in subarctic conditions with no apparent injury.
  • Enhanced Senses: Wolverine possesses animalistic enhanced senses and is -capable of tracking people through scent alone as well as detect their presence within a large area through scent and sound. All of Wolverine's senses are increased to extremely high levels although it is unknown if this extends to his senses of taste and touch.

Movie Thor's powers:

  • Superhuman Strength: Thor is physically the strongest Asgardian, possessing vast superhuman strength, the full limits of which aren't known. However, he easily flipped a ceremonial table full of food and dishware that weighed at least several hundred pounds. He knocked a Frost Giant several meters into the sky which only stopped when it hit the mountain side. He knocked another Frost Giant to the ground with a single blow from Mjlonir and then kicked it several meters away from him. He knocked out several Frost Giants with only a single blow each and on occasion has even knocked out multiple Frost Giants with a single blow at the same time. He possessed enough strength to kill a Frost Monster with a single blow, the act in question saving his friends. Thor also went toe-to-toe with the all powerful Destroyer. Thor knocked Loki through the Bifrost monitor walls in their battle. He was also able to destroy the Bifrost bridge when it was frozen to stay open and threatened to destroy Jotunheim. He was able to battle hordes of Frost Giants with great ease. In his battle against a supercharged Iron Man, Thor managed to gain the upper hand. With Mjolnir, he was able to hold off against the Hulk for a long time. It should also be noted that during his battle with the Hulk, Thor's blows were easily capable of staggering and in some cases knocking the Hulk around, something very few being have been shown to be capable of. He was able to battle the hordes of Chitauri foot soldiers throughout New York. Along with Mjolnir and with one simple strike, he was able to flip a car over, killing several Chitauri soldiers. He also broke out of a container S.H.I.E.L.D. created to contain the Hulk. His strength extends his ability to leap distances far in excess of human capability as shown twice. The first time was when he charged at Loki in the Bifrost Bridge chamber and went through the wall. The second time was when he charged at Captain America with Mjolnir in the forest.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Thor's advanced musculature is considerably more efficient than that of a human and most other Asgardians. As a result, his muscles produce practically no fatigue toxins during physical activity compared to those of humans and most other members of his race. His virtually inexhaustible stamina enables him to exert himself at peak capacity for an undefined period of time without tiring at all.
  • Super-humanly Dense Tissue: Thor's skin, muscle, and bone tissue have several times the density of the same tissue in the body of a human being, contributing to his superhuman weight. At full power he is invulnerable to powerful energy blasts, weighted impacts, falls from great heights, explosions and various other opposing forces. Even when he was stripped of his powers, he was still amazingly durable due to his dense body. He was hit twice by Jane Foster's truck and even though he was knocked down, he showed no visible damage after getting up. He withstood several blows from S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives and when he was eventually captured he the only visible damage was a small bruise on his forehead. Thor has even been struck by an enraged Hulk multiple times and showed no signs of damage, only little discomfort.
  • Near-Invulnerability: When he is at full power and armed with Mjolnir, Thor possesses nigh-invulnerability and immunity to human ailments as diseases, toxins, poisons, corrosion, fire, electrocution, asphyxiation, and lead and radiation poisoning. He has withstood a direct blow to the face from a massive Frost Giant and laughed afterward. He survived a direct, near point blank range blast from Gungnir blasting him out of Odin's chamber, falling several hundred meters to the ground and still showed no visible signs of injury. He was struck in the face by Loki wielding Gungnir and showed only anger and annoyance as a result. He was able to withstand a full-on strike from a supercharged Iron Man and showed no sign of damage. Also, Captain America hit him and Iron Man in the head with his shield to get their attention and stop them from fighting , after which there was no visible damage. The Hulk however, did manage to give him a nosebleed during a fistfight.
  • Superhuman Speed: Thor can move at extreme speeds. He can fly across the New Mexico desert in a matter of seconds. He can also swing Mjolnir at speeds so great that it seems like a blur to the naked eye. He was able to tackle the Hulk through a wall in the Helicarrier before the Hulk would strike the Black Widow and looked like a blur
  • Superhuman Agility: Thor's agility, balance, and bodily coordination make him a great warrior in battle. He moves with incredible grace and speed despite his size and body density. He was able to dodge the wing of a jet fighter thrown at him by the Hulk while they battled in the hangar bay.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite his astounding resistance to injury, it is possible to injure Thor. After seemingly being killed by the Detroyer and proving himself worthy of Mjolnir, Thor regained his full power and immediately healed himself in seconds. Seconds after being stabbed in the stomach by Loki using Gungnir on the Bifrost bridge, Thor calls forth a thunderbolt with Mjolnir knocking down Loki and stands up completely healed. He was also stabbed by one of Loki's throwing knives but it did little more than distract and annoy him.
  • Superhuman Longevity: Thor, like all other Asgardians, is not truly immortal as it is possible to kill an Asgardian and other beings in the Nine Realms. It is more accurate to say that Asgardians are extremely long lived beings. Thor ages at a pace far slower than a humans. He is more than likely born shortly before the last Great War between the Asgardians and the Jotuns. Making him at least 1,300 years old. Mortals' life spans are comparable to the blink of an eye to him. He has stated, about the times he came to Earth in the past and troubles that were brought from Asgard and/or elsewhere, "in his youth, he called it war". This implies that in some way, he feels his age.
  • Weather Control: Wielding Mjonir grants Thor the ability to control the basic elements of a storm. It can control the elements and can create giant raging electrical storms complete with thunder, lightning, hurricane-force winds, tornadoes, tidal waves, earthquakes, and torrential rains on a moment's notice. He summoned a class 5 tornado to battle the Detroyer, a lightning bolt strong enough to destroy a large piece of landscape in Johtunheim and a lightning bolt to knock down Loki on the Bifrost bridge. He was also able to strike Iron Man with a bolt of lighting, but it should be noted that all it did was charge his suit with additional power. He was able to strike Chitauri soldiers and a Leviathan down. The Norse myths and legends regarded him as a Thuder God because of the hammer's influence over weather;
    • Lightning: Thor's main weapon using Mjolnir is a lightning bolt or thunderbolt. He summoned a lightning bolt strong enough to destroy a large piece of landscape in Jotunheim, a lightning bolt to knock down Loki on the Bifrost bridge, shot a lightning bolt at Iron Man that boosted his armor's power reserve to +400% and took down a Chitauri with a single thunderbolt. Thor also shot a massive lightning bolt at the portal of the Chitauri to prevent anymore re-enforcements.
  • Worthiness Enchantment: After Thor disobeyed Odin and nearly caused a war between Asgard and Johtumheim, Odin banished Thor to Earth without his powers. Odin also placed an enchantment on the hammer Mjolnir. "Who so ever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." This enchantment surrounding Mjolnir prevents it from being wielded by anyone save those who have been found worthy. When Thor sacrificed himself to protect Earth from The Destroyer he proved himself worthy to wield Mjolnir and gained full use of his powers. In The Avengers, not even the Hulk's incredible strength could lift Mjolnir.
  • Material Transformation: By summoning lightning from the sky into Mjolnir, Thor's uniform was transformed into his battle armor.
  • Mystical Link: Mjolnir obeys Thor’s commands as though it were alive. Mjolnir went to Thor when it was in a crater from miles away. It came to him in seconds. Mjolnir will return to Thor when he throws it at an opponent. In The Avengers, while battling the Hulk in a hanger of the Helicarrier, Thor summoned Mjolnir from another room and it came crashing through the Helicarrier to get to him.
  • Flight: Thor is capable of hurling Mjolnir with great force and, by holding onto the leather thong, is capable of flying through the air at tremendous speed. How fast is not specified, but he was able to fly at tremendous speed in Johtumheim to kill a Frost Monster, fly in the middle of a Class 5 tornado, fly from the small New Mexico town to the closet Bifrost site, fly from Heimdall's Observatory to the main hall of Asgard and later from the hall back to Heimdall's Observatory. All of this in mere seconds. Thor is also seen flying during The Avengers, mainly when he fought against Iron Man and during the battle of New York.
  • Speed: Thor is capable of hurling Mjolnir at great speed. In the movie, Thor, he bashes the Frost Giants around him, then throws Mjolnir, making it hit multiple Frost Giants in it's path in mere moments.
  • Energy Projection: With Mjolnir, Thor can project powerful mystical blasts of energy. He can channel these energies for stronger attacks. With Mjolnir, Odin projects a powerful mystical blast of energy using it to take away all of Thor's superhuman powers and destroys what was left of his armor, after stripping much of it off of him. He then proceeds to throw Thor into the Bifrost.

Impressive and relevant, but there's a difference between the blunt force attacks from an Asgardian wielding a weapon like Mjolnir, and tearing somenoe apart molecule by molecule. Wolverine can regenerate from physical wounds but he hasn't been shown to have an impressive enough resistance to blunt force attacks to the skull. I honestly see this resulting in Wolverine being KO'd. Not to say Wolverine can't hurt Thor, I just think Thor as too much versatility for him.

Wolverine has been knocked out by weaker blunt force attacks then a Mjolnir. Wolverine is a huge conductor and would be fried. This is a bloodlusted match.

@the_legendary_supersaiyan_hulk: 1:43 after striking Iron Man he blocks two punches.

1:50 crushes the titanium suit in his hand. Shakes off an energy blast and headbutt from the Iron Man suit with complete ease, and then proceeds to launch Iron Man a good distance away, which actually takes a great deal of strength considering the weight or Iron Mans suit.

2:05 dodge, counter, strike, grapple

Other than that the fight was mainly a power battle between Iron Mans energy projection and Thors hammer and lightning, and Thor would have won this fight in the end. I think it's safe to say Thor was pretty competent in this fight in terms of H2H.

Thor takes it via punch, kick, headbutt, hammer, lightning burst or toss across town.

Movie Logan has issues with blunt trauma to the head, and I don't care about Phoenix slowly disintegrating him, a lightning burst of the Avengers magnitude will put him down as well as remind Thor that barbecue sounds pretty good right about now.

The only question is if Logan can cut him with claws. Maybe they can dig deep or possibly they won't. I still give the vast majority of 10 rounds to Thor.

If prof X had powers that would be too much. Also, we can't take wolverine vs phoenix battle as a proof for anything, cause phoenix was 90% held back by jean's mind. But if wolverine manages to lure thor into a building or something and engage him at close range, then dodge a hammer strike and start stabbing him madly with his claws, I think he could win. Also, X can distract Thor so wolverine can attack.

Thor rather easily IMO.
