Thor Vs Silver Surfer

I can't decide.who is it

Thor. I think his godly power is a match for the power cosmic.

I can see it going either way. I think Marvel tried to make Thor out as stronger then SS but SS is powerful enough to go toe to toe with people that might give Thor a challenge.

I have a scan on the boards where the Silver Surfer states himself that Thor's hammer is more powerfurl than his power cosmic.

Thor's beaten him befroe and can do it again.

The post-annihilation SS is stronger and more powerful than ever. I agree with Andferne but I think that the new SS is now the most powerful hero in the Marvel U.

Not really true in terms of most powerful in the 616 galaxy we all know and love thor is the strongest in terms of strength no in power if silver sufer gets some he may be stronger then thor but Thor can usually absorb any blasts thrown at him and back when thor went in warriors rage thanos silver surfer drax and some other person all of them were scared to fight yep they had to go to odin so that tells you that thor is pretty damn strong when thanos doesn't even wanna do it when those other power houses.

Also by the way as of right now i wouldn't say ss is the strongest in the marvel u in terms of super heros even though every body seemed to move up at the same time lol juggernatu sentry hulk thor ss but don't think ss would be on top.

But first Thor has to hit the SS. The Surfer's speed is what would win him this fight.

Since there is no writers making these to not hold back, I say Silver Surfer, he'd just go Light Speed then transmutate Thor into something.

thor's the god of thunder, he aint being transmuted into anything by the surfer! he can deflect any of surfers blast!

But hey I can live with that. So Thor cant hit Surfer, ok well anything Surfer throws at Thor Mjolnir is capable of absorbing. So we now have a stalemate.

The surfer dosnt have to hit the hammer, he could just turn Thors brains into jelly beans

Current Surfer the one how just recieved a power boots (tow actually) I see can defeat current Thor. We haven't seen enough from this new version of Thor to really debate this...yet.

Old Surfer though would lose this fight imo.

I also just went back and read his bio again. Didn't know that he had the Quantom Bands in a alternate reality. Could you imagine how powerful he would be with those in his current stat? Wowzers

Is there anybody in the Marvel U that has there own ongoing book that could beat the SS? I can't.

Currently? Not sure off the top of my head, but the list would be small, if it could be called a list even.

With the wide variety of SS, it's pretty hard to get a guy to beat him, that isn't a cop-out pick.

In the comics I think they always try to make Thor stronger. SS is tough, with no one trying to write a victory for Thor, I think SS might be able to beat Thor.

Thor can hit surfer are you guys serious its no that hard i mean some times his speed may be i the way but if thor throws his hammer faster then the speed of light surfer won't at all be able to doge it and if you guys look back at surfers fights hes pretty damn slow galactus shots at him aegis tyrant so many people throw them slow hits if they can do it how the hell is thors hits gonna be any slower just because these two are fighting and when thor was in warriors rage why didn't surfer use that magical speed then to dodge his hits but instead run to odin for help?

And thor can transmute his molecules as well but what makes you think thor would just sit their and let silver surfer blasts away at him huh?

This is looking like a very interesting battle.

A lot of pro-Thor posters are forgetting that SS's powers have increased dramatically. But it is a tough call. The power cosmic gives SS so many abilities. He can manipulate anything molecularly, absorb and transform energy, phase, travel beyond the speed of light, interact with the astral plain, and Thor has a wide array of powers too, since he's a god.

I would really like to see this battle done in the comics again with a decisive winner.

These are the only two major heroes who did not engage WWH. Therefore, whoever comes out on top of this battle would be the definitively most powerful hero in the Marvel U.

I think people forget how strong SS is. The main reason Galactus always beats him is because he can simply take his powers away! Thor can't.

Also for those that said SS would just phase. Thor has used Mjolnir to disrupt Vision while he was in his intangible state. As well as reverse Kittys phaseing power she had used on him.

I think a lot of people are going with Thor because the comics have made him out to be stronger. This is not about what comics say. On battles, we come up with our own solution, not just what Marvel gives us.

Once again, Silver Surfer wins.

Regular Thor doesn't stand a chance against surfer. Regular Thor CANNOT rearrange matter, and silver surfer can. Surfer Turns thor into Bantha sh&%.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa...we're using REGULAR Thor here!!??!? This is such a one-sided battle. Silver Surfer phases into Thor or turns him into Rock then shatters it.
