Ummm it was pretty accurate given the fact that thor has immense strength and power

The only version of Raiden that could truly defeat Thor is the Elder God one.

It's acurate, though if it was to the death, it wouldn't have ended that way.

Side note: That fight was my favorite DB of the 2d DB animations though.

Raiden would slap Thor silly, even with his Hammer.

The battle would have ended from the beginning if Thor was trying to kill Raiden.

@jeanroygrant: It would be an awesome fight and it probably would end as a stalemate or Raiden wins if it takes place in the Mortal Kombat realms. Also Elder Gods from the Mortal Kombat universe are omniscient.

One thing you have to realize with death battle is that you cant judge the battle by the cinematics. In reality, Thor would hit Raiden once and Raiden's head would go flying into space. The Battle is made epic because a one-shot by Thor would be a horrible battle.

Thor would beat Raiden, easily. It wasn't really a fair fight.

Thor is better than Raiden in every aspect except maybe fighting skill, which would not even be able to hurt Thor with, and Raiden might be more intelligent.

Pretty much, although some of their battles are debatable.

But To sum it up.

Normal Raiden vs. Thor-Thor will win

EG Raiden vs. any Thor-EG Raiden wins

Mortal god Raiden gets stomped.

Elder god Raiden would floor Thor without question.

Thor outclasses Raiden in every conceivable way. Literally the people that say Raiden are those who really love MK and GOW.

Storm is more powerful than Raiden. Not to knock on her she is actually an Omega level mutant but that being said, matchup against Thor is a massive fail.
