It's funny how everyone are still pressing about telepathy. Not about strength.
Let me bring all of you to some senses.
Martian Manhunter, in a number of his incarnations, has been called as powerful as Superman, with enough strength to actually move planets and lift 100 tons. He might as well exceed the class-100 level. So, in terms of strength, MM is one guy who means business. Yes, Thor might be physically a little superior.... And that's understanable... You have introduced Gods as comic book characters.... How about DC actually introducing JEHOVAH as a superhero... He'd be all-powerful... Where'd ya'll go? Where'd Thor go? So, to treat Thor as a full-out God instead of a superhero would be idiotic. Yeah, King Rune Thor is impossible to beat. Ain't it unfair to put an alien in such an unfair contest. Bring him to his strength level, then we'll talk.
Thorites are discussing whether MM canbring down Thor with telepathy. Let's forget about TP. What else am I forgetting. 100-ton strength, fighitng skills, speed (which is way more than Thor), intangibilty (something ya'll haven't even discussed), short distance teleportation, phasing, ability to increase his size, fire optic beams, Martian scream, energy blasts... All these, are forces to be reckoned with. And combined with TP, these abilities can damn well bring the Asgardian down in the first two rounds. The third round, Thor wins. In a spite.
Martian is one of the most under-rated characters of DC> Despite that, he's been shown to possess enormous arsenal of abilities. So, dismissing him as nothing compared to god is total and idiotic BS. MM can win the first two rounds. Third round pits him in an unfair fight. SO he loses.
Having said all this, I'm not a Thor hater. But still, there are limits. 'Cause we are talking a superhero, not a F'ing GOD!! 'Cause nothing can defeat a God except a God himself. We should treat this is two superhuman characters fighting, and put the stipulations accordingly.
