Both have bloodlust , no OF for Thor, on Earth, start 50m apart, no prep time, win by KO/kill, no intangibility for MM

#2 Posted by Park (2974 posts) - - Show Bio

Without Martian Manhunter's intangibility it's practically spite. Telepathy rarely has any affect on Asgardians and I'm pretty sure Thor could beat him down or make a forest fire with some lightning... I don't see Martian Manhunter having any real advantages in this fight.

MM wins just like always

#4 Posted by troller (911 posts) - - Show Bio

MM intangibility is a key power, without it he cannot rival Thor. SPITE

#5 Posted by The_Thunderer (2894 posts) - - Show Bio

@troller: MM is stronger than superman, much faster than Thor, durability wise similar, but important factor is MM can turn invisible which no one has talked about, which means he can get close to Thor then turn visible, punch him miles away then turn invisible?!

Martian is not stronger than Superman and Thor has super senses so invisibility is nothing

#7 Posted by The_Thunderer (2894 posts) - - Show Bio

How would super senses help?

#8 Posted by troller (911 posts) - - Show Bio

Because he can sense the pre scene of MM-duhuh

#9 Posted by The_Thunderer (2894 posts) - - Show Bio

he can't just "sense" all life forms around him...

#10 Posted by troller (911 posts) - - Show Bio

Lets see, he can hear them and smell them and possibly even feel their movement around him, so uhhhhhh, yes he can

#11 Posted by Immortal777 (7219 posts) - - Show Bio

MM wins easily

Or just stay invisible the whole time

@BigCimmerian: Are you saying he can sense invisible beings? When has this been demonstrated and what was the explanation. Because Superman has about 80 different kinds of vision and still doesn't see invisible martians

#13 Posted by Jorgevy (5114 posts) - - Show Bio

You can give MM his intagiblity, Thor can counter react it with Mjolnir. The real problem here is the John's speed against Thor's. Thor can nullify intagibility and invisibility but he wont be able to do it if MM just speedblitzes him

#14 Posted by VercingetorixTheGreat (2823 posts) - - Show Bio

Isn't MM still stronger than thor? Anyway all Thor has to do is get OREOS John's one weakness

#15 Posted by troller (911 posts) - - Show Bio

I don't think that Thor is intelligent enough to discover that weakness, in the comics he is seen as just a mindless brute

@beatboks1: sorry should have checked..

#18 Posted by troller (911 posts) - - Show Bio

It's no prob. The search engine isn't the best. Your better of searching through Google for CV's battles.

I find that rude and unnecessary, I don't think it was needed i apologised and you din't need to get involved.

surely the fact that there are many of these threads proves its not spite?!

I have in fact, even with my numerically superior threads, failed to ensure their originality to conserve the interests of this good website

Even without intangibility and invisibility, he would win.

#25 Posted by troller (911 posts) - - Show Bio

@BlueLantern1995: I agree, where Thor relies on his brutish and ineffectual strength, MM has a variety of powers which he can use to easily overwhelm Thor

He can smell him right? Or hear him?

#27 Posted by The_Thunderer (2894 posts) - - Show Bio

not sure if you make a noise while flying? Plus MM can transmutate into whatever he wants to disguise his odour..

That's not very practical in combat, especially when Martian is way faster than sound. How would he even know what he smelled like any way? And when has Thor displayed the ability to fight invisible people this way? Like I said, Superman has been knocked out by invisible martians. Batman has said that they are truly undetectable if they want to be

#29 Edited by The_Thunderer (2894 posts) - - Show Bio

has MM got any ranged methods of attack or is it simply melee? (other than telepathy)

Martian Manhunter is not physically stronger than Superman...

Speed feats for Martian Manhunter?
