Thor vs Bane(Movies)

Once he beats the crap out of Bane, he'll probably regain his powers..... The Banes really screwed here!!!

Actually just saw the Batman movie last night. I would say Thor (don't let the profile pic fool you, I think I have legit logic), but its a really tight battle. Thor, even without Mjolnir and his power, still has substantial fighting skills and strength. He was able to take down quite a few (supposedly) highly trained SHIELD Agents with relative ease. I would imagine that powerless Thor is at least close to or at peak-human abilities.

I think Bane and Thor will have similar strength and speed, with Bane gaining the edge in technical fighting skills (He showed really good poise and skill in his fights with Batman) and I would give Thor the edge in overall durability (I think he retains some Asgard physiology, even when powerless, nothing in the movie references him becoming human, merely becoming mortal). However, Bane has one weakness that I feel loses it for him, that is his mask. He is bound to get punched in the jaw, and when he does, I think that mask is coming lose and he will be in terrible, debilitating pain. Batman manged to pull this off in the final fight in The Dark Knight Rises, I think Thor could do it too.

There is no way Thor can win i am assuming you guys are talking about when Thor was mortal with no Powers. If that the case he loses ,.. Bane got this

Thor was more impressive depowered than Bane was in DKR. Thor wins.

Thor wins after a very intense fight. I would love to see it. I could imagine them tearing into each other. It would be awesome. Thor doesn't win this with out getting bloody and beat up.

Yes there is. Plenty of ways, in fact.

Thor. he has more experiences in combat.

Even if thor is depowered he still has a thousand years of experience on bane. He should be able to take it, but it will be bloody, thats for sure.

Movie Bane was pretty much a Real World Peak Human

Movie Thor (powerless) was a lot closer to a Comic Book Peak Human.

Well Batman beat Bane using nothing but elbows and grunts so I think Thor can handle Wheezy here.

^^^ lol ^^^. I'll take Thor,,,, just because he was made mortal doesn't negate his muscle mass and thousands of years of fighting experience..experience gained fighting things far worse that Sean Connery on steroids

I see Bane taking this. In terms of strength I would imagine them to be close (Thor was overpowering multiple people in the hospital, Bane was snapping necks with one hand and damaged a stone pillar with a punch) but Bane I thought was the more skilled of the two, so he gets my vote after a good fight.

Thor would win so easily.

It wouldn't be a stomp either way. It would be a hard and bloody fight but after a while Thor would win.

Bane had better strength feats (crushing a Man's skull, easily lifting Batman over his head, punching through concrete), better durability feats (Batman couldn't hurt him and even prior to his augmentation it took numerous, vicious men to corner him and put him down), and arguably was more skilled. Bruce only won round two because he exploited a weakness using his cleverness, information Thor doesn't have and the sharp edge of his gauntlet. Thor took on some seemingly incompetent SHIELD agents and struggled with the big guy he ran into.

Thor in a close, bloody fight.

5.5-6/10 close.

Going by feats, they are relatively equal in strength.

Thor has more experience overall, and one errant punch ot the face could damage Bane's mask, effectively crippling him for the rest of the fight.

Bane really fought a half-ass Batman honestly. Thor showed pretty great fighting ability with no powers, taking out a bunch of Shield Agents easily, and having fun against the huge guy, after the fights with the other guys, then proceeded to beat him smiling.

Bane basically beat Batman in an honestly PIS fight where the plot literally required Batman to lose.

Thor wins, TDKR sucked.

This would be a pretty good brawl, but I'd say Bane has better display of skills (despite Thor having more experience).

I like Bane better but THOR STOMPS!
