First off, this is an out of character fight. Thor honestly doesn't need to teleport Superman to a distant Red Sun to beat him. Superman was once knocked in two shots from Viking's (Ymir's Son) Axe. That hasn't shown to be nearly as formidable as Mjolnir. Thor should pwn Superman any day in a well-written comic. "
Why did you only state the the fight is out of character now? It's supposed to be stated in the OP. Thor also got owned by Gladiator whose feats are nothing compared to Superman's.

Do you guys fail to recognize how ridiculously strong superman is? If the fight is in character or not Superman beats Thor. In character, Thor goes h2h and Supes wins due to superior.......everyting. Out of character, Superman truly cuts loose and Thor throwing godblast or warping is a non factor.

Thor doesn't have the odinforce anymore, he lost it in Thor Vol. 3 #602.

In Annihilators beta ray bill owned rulk so Thor should've done the same but it really depends which Ares u use as the Ares from his mini's is more impressive than the one from avengers & other issues he appeared in .
Can people put more info as using current character is useless because Ares is still dead lol & his form before that was one of the chaos characters as he'd solo this .
(Sigh) Yet another Superman vs Thor thread in disguise. Ares on Team 1 is a real weak link. Hulk has beaten him with ease before. And Superman can take Thor down by himself very handily.

It doesn't matter which Ares you use he's inferior to everyone here. Thor himself has trouble with Hulk so I know Ares doesn't have a chance. Even with prep and when he's not fighting back he fails to do significant damage to Hercules and Superman is WAYYYYY out of the question. Sentry ripped Ares in half..Superman won't go that far BUT he is stronger than Sentry and faster by lightyears so basically this would quickly turn into Superman & Hulk vs. Thor and Thor loses badly.
