Thor and Loki vs Magneto and Apocalypse

En Sabah Nur brings a bloodlusted Magneto to Asgard, promising him earth as his prize, should he help Apoc wreak havoc in Asgard.

Odin and the Asgardian soldiers are away. Loki calls for his brother as they look out of a window and see Mags and Apoc destroying their city. Thor does NOT have Mjolnir (it's in the body shop, lol).

Can Loki and Thor save Asgard with no prep, BFR or Mjolnir?

Non jobbing Apocalypse solos

Asgardians other than Odin have been SOOOOOOO badly downplayed in recent years, especially Loki. In the olden days, Loki used to be a threat to classic Doctor Strange. He should be able to solo this easily...

Modern Loki however isn't going to be able to win.

I'm not massively familiar with Thor's feats without Mjolnir. If he had it, team 1 would definitely win. Without it, I just can't say.

A: Jarnbjorn isn't Apocalypse's kryptonite. It's capable of cutting Celestial armor, but that isn't the same as being anathema to those who wear such armor.

B: Thor doesn't have Jarnbjorn. Either because the OP doesn't say he does or because Magneto says he doesn't. Pick one.

I did go and read it. Loki danced around and humiliated Apocalypse and eventually destroyed his equipment with Nur unable to do anything about it. It was made clear he was no match for Loki.

And that's what you're doing now? You hardly seem unbiased. Not liking Apocalypse has nothing to do with this, because he's fighting unworthy Thor, someone who has very clearly stomped him already.

This as neither Thor or Loki can harm Apocalypse without the enchanted axe.

OP says no Mjolnir, Odin or Soldiers. it says nothing about the Destroyer or the norn stones. Unless Thor and Loki meet the Mutants unarmed in their own backyard (LOL) The Azgardians beat the shit out of the Mutants.

If OP is asking if Thor and Loki can win totally unarmed and without prep? then i say NO.

If it's Magneto at his prime, he takes Thor's new Uru arm and Jarnbjorn and further dismembers him, all while Apocalypse at least stalemates current Loki who is in no way more powerful than the original who had a somewhat ambiguous fight with Nur before.

And people still use Thor's sneak on Evan as it was the original Apocalypse.

It doesn't say this is pre AVX Magneto so moot point. I didn't have how well Nur would do against current Loki when I said that, just that regular Loki is well above him. Honestly I don't see why Thor needs help.

He's a perfect clone so I see no difference.

Unworthy Thor beat Evan with a cheap shot while the real Apocalypse has never been hurt by Thor besides with the axe which he doesn't have in this. Apocalypse will outlast Thor & Loki since neither possess a way to harm him.

Clear? Loki was lying down under after Apocalypse headbutted him. And then when Caliban attacked him, Apocalypse tried to imprison him and that's where Loki left. There was barely a fight and no one outclassed anybody. You have a unique way of interpretation.

If we're going by the current versions, both Loki (not an expert but I haven't seen anything impressive by him) and Magneto are outclassed right here. It's between Apoc and Thor with Jarnbjorn (I assume). And this time won't have the benefit of sneaking upon him which reduces his chances to win to zero if no CIS is involved.

No you didn't read, or are so biased that you can't observe a fight fairly with Apocalypse in; fact is he matched him.

Also Apocalypse has never been shown in instances with them at full power, and he has upgrades since then; Loki would also have no way to put him down.

He didn't stomp him, he suprised him both times, e.g. a person being jumped by a person with a weapon, hardly an instance to stay Apocalypse would loose head on and being able to use his abilities like TK, not to mention the comic or writers decided not to bother using his complete Molecular Control, despite the fact that even wounded; he should heal etc despite being cut.

So what can Apoc exactly do to put Thor down?

And can't Loki perform transmutation?

If we go by every feat Loki has ever pulled out, he should solo this easily. He transmutates Magneto into a rabbit or a frog and then steps on him, and his magic at his peak has harmed Galactus and threatened Dormammu so Apocalypse shouldn't be an issue. Then a few years ago people at Marvel decided that science and space energy was cooler than magic and big dumb vikings and now Thor isn't more than a match for the Silver Surfer anymore and Loki went down a tier as far as villains go.

Modern Loki isn't a match for Apoc, although he still beats Magneto, and Thor might have a chance if he had his axe and Loki was backing him up and running interference, but it'd still be a hard win on the chance they could pull it off.

Magneto has a history of taking control of the hammer from Thor. Apocalypse should take this after the hammer removal. He's all over the place though. This is a tough one to call and everybody is overlooking Loki.

@nomar: No hammer involved here so it's not an issue. Although it always seemed stupid to me Magnetos abilities overpowered Odins magic.

I'd say Loki and Thor could take this handily, but true Apocalypse is inconsistent.

I find it funny when people lowballs current Loki. Loki solos this fight. Because he already killed everyone on earth in the future,wrecked Dr doom,time freezing etc.... Loki solo stomps these chumps.
