Beta Ray Bill blasted the Surfer off his board all the while the Surfer was trying to talk to him, too, and the Surfer using his board to attack opponents is nothing new, either. He has done it on multiple occasions. It's pretty much the same thing as Thor, or Bill throwing their hammer, the opponent dodging it, and then getting hit while the hammer returns to the wielder. Bill should have known better.

I didn't claim using the board as an offensive weapon was out of character. I'm pointing out that people don't realize BRB was already hurt when SS beats him down.

Speaking of which, I always wondered why the Surfer never uses IMP. He's fast enough to do it.

Most of the time things would be easily resolved if he simply transmuted the opponents themselves, instead of blasting them. He doesn't even need to touch them to do that, and the majority of the opposition does not have control over their molecular structure, or resistance/immunity to it.
