@dccomicsrule2011 Beskar? That stuff can resist lightsabers, let alone bolts from conventional blasters. Last time I checked, Boba currently sports the stuff.
This is War: Floopay's Team-Up Tournament
@dccomicsrule2011: My mistake.
And that's incorrect. Boba has completely tanked blaster bolts. He's also tanked a missile. It wasn't anything that destructive, but it was still a good feat. Here's the scan:
@juiceboks If tanking explosions are against the rules, I have a feeling a lot of people are going to redo their teams.
@juiceboks: @fetts: I meant Madalorian armor. In Star Wars the Clone Wars show, normal Mandalorian armor has been peirced by blaster bolts.
@dccomicsrule2011: Uh huh. But Boba is ok right?
@dccomicsrule2011 Beskar is what Bobas armor is made of. "Normal" mandalorian armor consists of durasteel which also happens to be what Vader's suit is made of. In the show mandalorians were harmed by blasters yes, but Boba and Vader has tanked them in the comics.
@fetts It just says that tanking assault riffle fire is the limit and im going by that. Some other people will probably be DQed but thats for us to point out.
@juiceboks: I get where your coming from. That's T-Canon for you though, where Pre Vizsla can hold his own against Jedi masters in saber combat -_- I still say it sucks T-Canon is a higher canon class then the comics.
@juiceboks: Boba's standard armor is actually duraplast. He did obtain beskar, that was when he got older.
Also, I'd say tanking a missile and feeling the force of it is probably on the same level as tanking assault rifle fire like nothing.
@fetts Yea he originally had duraplast armor but he has since upgraded to Durasteel, and finally the badass Beskar armor he currently uses. Unless of course you wanna use him from before Vasur made the new plates, but like you said he has tanked blaster fire from even that time period. I would put blaster fire above ballistic weaponry.
@juiceboks: I don't think he ever had durasteel. I thought it was just duraplast to beskar. And blaster bolts are destructive but not powerful enough to go through people like bullets are.
@floopay: Out of curiosity what spells can Pharaun Mizzrym cast?
Just a few things to clear up on the mastermind.
- If it's a rich mastermind can they give your characters guns, grenades and walkie talkies or do they need to build them too?
- do things that increase stats fall under power granting?
- do items that have effects such as summoning monsters or BFR count as power granting?
@floopay: negotiating with a partner as we speek
@juiceboks: I don't think he ever had durasteel. I thought it was just duraplast to beskar. And blaster bolts are destructive but not powerful enough to go through people like bullets are.
You may be right about the armor, I vaguely remember reading that he had it if even for a small amount of time. The destructive capabilities of a blaster vs a slugthrower weigh heavily towards the blaster. Stormtrooper armor is virtually impervious to slugthrowers but a blaster can (obviously) penetrate it. Considering Boba's armor is quite a few notches above standard trooper armor, I just think it would be too much to get through for most of the people here.
@juiceboks: Well perhaps slugthrowers aren't the same as modern weapons. I dunno. Let's ask @floopay.
Boba has duraplast armor. He can tank blaster bolts and there's question as to whether or not that breaks the durability limits. Whaddya think?
@floopay: would Doctor Doom be above masterimnd limits? since Lex Luthor isn't....
@betatesthighlander1: His magic alone put's him above the limits, Floopay has those limits so people such as Doom cannot be chosen.
@dextersinister: what about Bob The Skull?
@floopay@dextersinister@dccomicsrule2011 Ok. How does Grand Admiral Thrawn sound as a mastermind?
@fetts: @betatesthighlander1: Never heard of either of them, they should be fine as long as they don't have some cheesy powers your looking to exploit.
@betatesthighlander1: Looking at D&D monsters isn't a bad idea for minions I was going to do the same but think of something that is actually used as minions, Illithids are rare and the definition of evil mastermind with powerful mental powers ranging from telepathy to dimensional travel.
@fetts: I think Thrawn is waaaaay to OP his sheer awesomness is enough to overwhelm any team here xD
@dccomicsrule2011: Yup. Thrawn solos via badassery ;)
@dextersinister: Okay, so no Illithids?
not even regular, tribe Illithids?
@fetts: @dccomicsrule2011: Really? I mean, Thrawn was pretty cool i guess
@dccomicsrule2011@dextersinister@floopay Alright, we finished making our team.
Champions: Boba Fett; Azrael (Jean Paul Valley)
Leader: Jango Fett
Mastermind: Grand Admiral Thrawn
Meatshield: Scarlet Spider
Scout: AoA Nightcrawler
Wildcard: Deadshot
Minions: ARC Troopers and Shadow Troopers
I need a partner!
I accidentally killed my previous partner in a fit of rage!!
Need a new victim...um...I mean new partner :D
Anyone else think @floopay died? Haven't seen him for a bit o. o
@fetts: Fett again? there's a whole world of characters out there for you to use, live a little
@omgomgwtfwtf It's fine, you have until Christmas to find a replacement.
@dextersinister: Well I tried at first but everybody was either taken or against the rules :/
