- Battlefield: Time Square, NYC.
- Random encounter.
- Both are bloodlusted.
- Cyber can use his adamantium claws.
- Win Condition: KO.
- They are 25 feet apart here.
- Who will be the winner?
Thing vs. Cyber
" I'm glad I started a trend here. "Lol.
" I'd say Cyber, due to his poison claws and such "
The Thing wins.
Ben takes some damage from Cyber's claws but his poison isn't able to an affect until after Ben has already knocked Cyber's brain around inside his head with punches strong enough to put a lot of heavy hitters on their asses. Cyber gets knocked out, losing the fight, before his poison kicks in.
@texasdeathmatch:
As insane as Cyber's durability is, Ben punches will prove to be too much.
Also, Wolverine doesn't have Ben's thick rocky skin to keep the poison from absorbing fast.
The absorption of poison into Ben's body through whatever wounds are inflicted on his skin would still take longer than it would for Ben to beat him down.
Ben wins.
"Is this a proven fact or are you just assuming this?@texasdeathmatch:

Cyber wins. :P
@Edamame:
It's apples and oranges, friend.
It's like comparing a flame-thrower (which we'll substitute for Havoks blasts for purposes of this analogy) to getting hit by a train (which will represent the Thing's punches).
Both will hurt or kill a normal person as both have deadly effects. However, one is a projected form of heat energy and the other is a very hard concussive force; they are not the same.
In the case of Cyber withstanding Havoks plasma blasts proving he could also withstand multiple punches form the Thing, It's not the same thing and I'm not buying it. Cyber's adamantium can protect him from the blasts and would even prevent outward damage from Ben's punches, but his internal organs (specifically his brain) aren't protected from the concussive force Ben's punches would generate. Cyber's brain would be bounced around like a rubber ball in a coffee can until he loses consciousness.
" Pshhhh. Been there, debated this. "Haha didn't think you'd come back. You've missed some great Cardiac threads
Cyber would win.
his claws assure him the victory and his fighting skills would give him an advantage at evading and countering close quarter combat.
the adamantium would also give him adequate protection from his blows due to its properties one among them is the ability ti absorb kinetic force from blows.
it is not as efficient as Caps shield or Vibranium black panther armor but it is still impressive in its own qualities.
@k4tzm4n: Interesting...though I've completely lost faith in any mainstream series
" @castleking: So would you say Cyber is a better h2h combatant than Thing?yes.
Cyber is a trained military combat instructor who fights dirty with exceptional hand reaction time that Ben has never shown when facing someone who is a level 6 to 7 fighter.
Ben is an air force pilot who wrestled in college that is not that impressive by comic fighting standards he is just above fodder in fighting skills.
you should have paid him a visit with a bat misery style but with his hands." @k4tzm4n: Anything Marvel and DC is mainstream to me :P. I've given up on their noise and writers. Jeff Loeb was signing books 2 blocks away from me on "Free Comic Day" or whatever, yet I felt no need to go check it out. "

Ben's got this. Sure the poison can effect but as Powerherc pointed out it won't be before Ben can good and truly clobber him. His internal organs are dense and efficent and it's going to take the toxins quiet awile to work their way through him. Now as for Ben punching back Cyber's head and KO'ing him. I thin he probably can. I mean if Cyber wants to throw up his arms to protect his head, Ben just has to grab his wrists and wrench his arms right out of their sockets. The armor might project him from cuts and blunt trauma, but Thing can still bend him like a pretzel.
" @texasdeathmatch said:Well if you want to play that card fine, but I don't think that automatically trumps Ben. He wasn't just an Airforce Pilot, he earned his right to be an astronaught/experimental test pilot by flying Black Ops missions. Ben Grimm has known and fought alongside people like, Nick Fury, Logan, Sabertooth all long before he became a Super Hero. Cyber doesn't bring any kind of experience to the table that he hasn't seen before." @castleking: So would you say Cyber is a better h2h combatant than Thing?yes. " Then again, why believe a guy with a Cyber avatar, right? "Haha clearly you're biased.
" Wow. Clearly, Thing wins because he can "bend adamantium like a pretzel." "Well he doesn't have to bend adamantium like a pretzel, just the limb that it is armored by. I mean if Cyber's armor is solid, rigid and not articulated he wouldn't be able to move his own arms.
"
@PowerHerc: Nah, Cyber's durability is pretty insane. I think he could take a few punches before the poison kicked in, since it didn't seem to have any problem affecting Wolverine.
"
Wasn't it Fatal Attractions Wolverine though? Most of their more serious encounters were against a bone Wolverine with a gimped healing factor. Till Nemesis had Cyber offed for the metal. My memory may be a bit fuzzy here though. Modern Wolvie should tank through the poison. I say Thing has a chance to turn Cyber to jelly within his tin can housing. But majority to Cyber nonetheless.

their 1st battle in mandripoor was wolverine with adamantium and the drugs still screwed wolverine over big time and he was only hit with the poison claws since Cyber wanted to play with Wolverine.

this......................... and his adamantium skin............................................
" To think Thing's key to victory is attempting to bend Cyber's limbs is extremely flawed. Cyber will likely take a majority, but Thing's sheer strength gives him the potential to earn a few wins through a slug or two to the face. "Ok, lay some kinesiology on me. How does having adamantium grafted to your skin prevent Ben from using his strength to wrench the shoulder joint right out of it's socket?
