The legendary creature known only as the Tarrasque awakens from its slumber, deep beneath the Misty Mountains. The dwarves feel the rumble. The elves sense the disturbance. The men, far away in their cities, are oblivious until the first reports of destruction come. Until the first towers begin to fall.

Patrols stop returning. Before long, everyone knows that if they don't unite, all of Middle-Earth will be destroyed.

The Legendary Tarrasque

??? Feats. I only know LOTR. From the movies, and a bit of book info people have told me.

@lukehero: The Tarrasque is a monster from the D&D game system. He's like 70 feet long, regenerates almost instantly, massively strong, magic bounces off of him, immune to most all sorts of energy, etc.

Here's a statsheet.

Anyway:

1. Easy difficulty.
2. Easy difficulty.
3. Stomp.
4. Easy or stomp.
5. I think that Rohan could stop him/her with the horse archers.
6. This depends on circumstances. I am Tar can breach the main gate and dwarves might have weaponary that can damage her.
7. Tar cannot harm them and they probably cannot harm her so its quite weird.
8. Saruman probably.
9. Easy difficulty.
10. Gondor.
11. Which Gandalf? Grey probably dies but White wins for sure.
12. Rivendell.
13. So this Witch-King is in? This could go either way.
14. Lothlorien probably.
15. Smaug
16. Which Balrog? Regular loose but I am assuming that you means Durins Bane. Hm, that could be very good fight but I think Balrog would win.

@penderor: He's not totally impossible to kill, just really really really difficult to kill. Magic of most sorts isn't going to affect him, arrows will do literally nothing.

And I was thinking the Durin's Bane Balrog, yes.

@joygirl: The Tarrasque wins They have no wish spell. Or a giant magical robot made by Hallaster Blackcloak.

@joygirl: Tell me then what exactly can stop him ? Because its probably made for the game mechanics I assume its ilogically made creature.

Erebor would kill her but the whole city would be destroyed in the process.

@penderor: It needs to be brought down (presumably with seige weaponry in most of these rounds) and then kept down with powerful magic. Burying or trapping it, or in any other way ending the threat, will also count as a win. But it won't be easy. In D&D a round lasts for six seconds, within that round the Tarrasque attacks with both claws, both horns, its teeth, and its tail, and anyone rushing towards it will get extra attacks. Not to mention that a bite attack is pretty much an auto-swallow.

Its a silly match, because normally you have to "wish them away". But since id put Saruman and other Maiar above nearly any D&D Magic, id see he could probably beat it. And if the Tarrasque somehow made it past him, Round 11 will be at best a stalemate, if Gandolf cannot win.

Smaug has a very small chance. Sauron at full power, maybe...assuming he has an equivalent to "Wish" or "Miracle". However, I've not seen anything in any of the books, movies, or games for LOTR that makes me think that there's anything in the entire LOTR universe that has much chance against here. Tarrasque passes 99% of the time.

I am pretty much agreeing with this. If the "Gods" of LOTR could directly intervene through Gandalf, Saruman, or if Sauron at "full power" means his godlike power (not lessened from being bound to a mortal form) then he should be able to take the Terrasque. Nice fight! I am a HUGE D&D nerd :)
