The REAL Avengers vs JLA

I know these are not the mainstream Avengers we know and love, but they are the team's best players.

RULES:

No bfr

Everyone is in character

Flash cannot speed steal during the first 15 min. of the fight.

Fight takes place in abandoned NYC

So hear it is:

JLA - Superman, Martian Manhunter, Hal Jordan, Wonder Woman, Flash (Barry), Batman

vs.

Avengers - Thor, Silver Surfer, Sentry, Ms. Marvel, Hercules, Rulk, Captain America

Wow, this is actually quite close.

I might have to give it to the Avengers.

Also, why is there one more member of the Avengers than the Justice League?

Does Hercules have any of his powers yet outside that magic equipment he was sporting for a bit?

Regardless post flash point league's best shot is telepathy, in character most of them aren't going to be blitzing and Batman will be dead weight.

Batman with these three days will make a machine that will allow Martian attack boosted by WW's magical weapons and take control over anybody. Similar thing about Tony, Mjolnir and Surfer...

You shouldn't make plans for them to "overpower" the other team. Teams should be even and fair.

Where as JLA's weakest link is Batman (dead weight in a fire fight), Avengers' weakest link is...Ms Marvel. It's not a fair fight, and the teams are even uneven.

Flash starts by raining a million blows on Rulk, Ms Marvel and Cap. Superman engages Thor and brings him down at super speed, Hal and Flash double team Surfer in the best of ways. Wonder Woman takes Herc while Martian Manhunter destroys the Sentry.

Whats to stop SS from stopping time and killing Flash. Thor vs Supes is debateable.

Im going with avengers because i think SS is too much for them to handle

Going with the Avengers by a hair, SS puts them over the edge.

I dont think silver surfer is part of the avengers. I might be wrong but i have just never seen him as a part of their team. I think he is only a defender.

Interesting scenario. I could see this going down either way, given so many variables and characters and character's range (basically their natural consistency tends to vary, sort of like natural athletes can have good and bad days) but as a general rule of thumb, I'd say certain character match ups could ensure victories for their side. Like if Martian Manhunter ends up pairing against Sentry, DC team chances increase dramatically, but if he fights Silver Surfer who has Marvel teams best telepathy resistance, then I could see Marvel teams odds stacking. I think Wonder Woman would also be a bad match up with Sentry, because of her skill factor.   
 
Both teams aim should be to take out any characters from other side as fast as possible to get a numbers advantage. Also worth considering is if any characters get their hands on Captain America's shield. Whether he gives it to them, they pick it up off his body or its stolen from him. Its a great equalizer. Ms Marvel might not be able to overpower Wonder Woman, but flying at her at her top speed with Cap's shield might take her out if she gets a clean hit. Or imagine if Flash grabs Cap's shield and throws it at Hercules?       
 
I do think its DC's to lose given a 4 on 4 fliers match, with their 4 fliers having better team chemistry than Thor, Silver Surfer, Sentry and Ms Marvel. That, and unless Martian Manhunter ends up fighting Thor or Surfer, Avengers numbers will get smaller first. Still quite a lot of ways could be played out though.

Silver Surfer and Sentry, especially Sentry with Void powers, kill Superman.
Hercules (DC powered up version) and Captain America gang and beat up Wonder Woman.
Rulk at max radiation power upgraded to WWHulk lvl beats on Hal Jordan.
Ms. Marvel stalls Martian Manhunter long enough for the rest of the Avenger team to come back and beat him up as well.

not stop it, but rather travel through it

Since everyone thinks Batman is a non-issue with this many powerhouses, I think Martian Manhunter would put him to good use. Martian uses telepathy and Batman to enter Sentry's mind. Batman manipulates Sentry into the releasing the Void. JLA beats a quick retreat while the Avengers wonder why they brought an unstable nuke to a gun fight. The JLA doesn't win but the Avengers definitely lose.

@Mad8Baller: How the hell will Thor kill someone he can't even touch, Flash is much, much faster than Thor, and even if he could Thor isn't killing anyone since the fight is in character. The rest is just plain wrong Silver Surfer can defeat Superman, that's true but Sentry can't, and since Sentry doesn't have Void in this battle it's pointless to bring it up. This is not DC Hercules it's the marvel one and there's no way he can beat Wonder Woman. Where was it stated that Rulk was as strong as WWH? And no he can't beat Green Lantern, his chances are almost null, and there's no way Ms. Marvel can hold her own against Martian Manhunter.

JLA takes this mainly because of Flash and Martian Manhunter.

Either MM or SS open with a  widespread telepathic attack, instantly intercepted by the other. While these two silently battle, the teams make their moves. Thinking that she will take out the woman on the team first, Ms. Marvel attacks WW. She is quickly cold clocked. That's one down. Looking to avenge his teammate, Hercules engages WW. At the same time Barry Allen is already blitzing around the battlefield. Thor and Sentry are able to keep up, but Rulk is at a loss and is pounded thousands of times a second. That's two down. Not wanting to get shown up, Hal, Batman and Superman engage their targets. Superman clashes with Thor, Hal with Sentry, and Batman with Cap, while Wonder Woman is still duking it out with Herc. Barry Allen takes a knee. After a few minutes, Hal is able to deal with Sentry but Wonder Woman has lost to Herc. Three for the JL, one for the Avengers. Hal Jordan now engages a weary Hercules and is able to put him down relatively easily. That's four down. While Superman, Thor, Batman, and Cap are still entangled in their fights, SS emerges victorious against MM. Four for the JL, two for the Avengers. Knowing he's a threat, Hal and Barry engage SS head on. After a hard fought battle, Superman defeats Thor, and while battered and bruised, he goes to help his teammates. That's five down. Even though he is powerful, SS cannot hope to win this by himself, and he is finally put down. That's six down. Batman and Captain America are still battling and Cap ends up winning. Six for JL, three for the Avengers. He lifts his head, exhausted, only to see his teammates lying, defeated on the battlefield. Of course he doesnt give up but.... 
 
Justice League win

@DrinkUrPruneJuice77: This i already knew but being able to travel time is different than being able to stop time because that way you can effectively negate anyone's superspeed, imporant in this instance because Flash is extremely fast. Even if we are using DcNu he's already show picosecond reaction time and ability to dump people in the past, the only one that would survive this would be thor and silver surfer, those are the only 2 capable of jumping time.

The REAL Avengers, aka the Avengers with Silver Surfer, so it isn't a complete stomp like it always is;. Norrin has never been a Avenger.

No he hasn't. At least not in Earth-616/Prime Marvel Universe.
