Before saying the Marvel Gods stomp. let's pick some information from other Blizzard games and Comics.

According to the LORE, Tyrael is able to travel in FTL speeds and destroys the world a thousand times with ease. But he doesn't because he's just a mere observer.

In Warcraft 3 you fight the Butcher and to defeat it you need a whole army. Yeah, the same butcher you defeat alone in Diablo 3 at level 15 and at Diablo 1 at level 20. The most powerful being in Warcraft is Sargeras. Wich is an eternal god and leader of an universal legion of demons know as Burning legion. He's immune to physical attacks and almost immune to magic. Comparing him to other god it would like comparing us to flye's. So he's basically on the level of cosmic beings from Marvel. If the Butcher was that powerful, we can easily assume the prime Evil is much more powerful than Sargeras or just as powerful.

Now on topic:

The Prime Evil wants to become Tathamet in Marvel Universe. To do that he needs to get to Earth and consume the Hearth of Anu. By doing that he'll become Ethernal, Omnipresent, Omniponent, Omniscient and all powerfull.

All the demons and angels in Diablo universe are basically blood cells of these ultimate beings.

The Prime Evil

No Caption Provided

The Prime Evil is the main antagonist of Diablo 3 and the most powerful begin to have ever existed in the three universes after Tathamet and Anu. The ultimate omniponent beings of Diablo universe. The Prime Evil is the junction of all Lord of Hells in a single one controlled by Diablo his goal is to revive Tathamet by consuming the Hearth of Anu. The object that created all angels and their plane. He defeats with ease the most powerful Archangel and breaks the Diamond Gates which were said to be indestructible just with his breath. Then goes on a killing rampage for the Hearth of Anu.

By being the Prime Evil he's the incarnation of Fear, Destruction, Hatred, Lies, Sins, Pain, Anguish, Despair and other powers such as Thief of Hope and Banisher of Light all granted by other lord demons.

He's able to use all the weakness against anyone. For example, he can easily turn Hulk against his friends for begin the Lord of Lies and use the deepest of super heroes secrets against them. Not forgetting his powers of destruction.

The Prime Evil can also summon waves and waves of the most powerful demons of hell by opening gates. And he will against Marvel.

Because he possessed a girl before turning into The Prime Evil.

The Prime Evil could just look at him and he would flee in terror like Diablo usually does. If, it's possible of course.

@Frocharocha: Diablo has no real feats other than being Beaten by a Rag Tag group of Adventurist at the end of every difficulty.

He was beaten by Nephalem, not ordinary humans. Nephalem are god like beings who were born after Angels and Demons committed sexual acts. And i'ts basically impossible to beat The Prime Evil on higher difficult.

Also he can only be banished. Seen how the Prime Evil had no difficult at all by travelling among planes, the Marvel heroes would hell a hell of a job taking him down and he would just respawn.

Actually he does. When you confront the spirits of your dead companions, they kinda trick your follower but not you. In Diablo universe, there a cosmic/celestial being that watches if a demon or angel enter or realm, and i'ts already hard before that. But The Prime Evil can just open a portal without this cosmic being seeing. I forgot his name.

@Frocharocha: If what you said was true than Diablo wouldnt have been defeated. He would have came back and kill your Team of Rag Tag adventurers and finish what he started... except you kill him and he cant just wisk back from hell....so all you have to do is defeat him once.

What are you smoking? Strange beats far more powerful entities on a regular basis. The man had Shuma freaking Gorath as part of his rogue's gallery. Shuma Gorath, who could destroy thousands of universes without effort and in all of the multiverse, could only really be said to be surpassed by the friggin' Living Tribunal.

Isn't Galactus more than a match to Shuma Gorath? Heck, The Prime Evil is the closest being to Tathamet which is basically the evil version of Anu. The Eye of Anu can create entire realms of existence in a blink of an eye and destroy everything as well, that all using not even a portion of i'ts power. I don't know, but The Prime Evil is also immensely powerful magically and psychically.

No, Shuma Gorath is beyond Galactus and the Abstracts. The big G is universal level, Shuma Gorath is multiversal level. Shuma gorath would curbstomp any video game character ever in his realm. Even when weakened, beings like Mephisto and Dormammu were less than insects before him at their full power. The only thing Shuma ever had to fear in terms of direct fear was the Living Tribunal. Strange could only ever beat Shuma because of special circumstances or when Shuma had to take on a weaker form. But Strange never ran in terror from Shuma Gorath despite it being the third or so most powerful being in marvel.

Also, unless you can prove that the setting of diablo has more than one planet and it's related planes of existence, I'm going to assume it's a standard fantasy setting where the main planet and it's connected planes of existence are the end all, be all, and thus rather more finite than your standard comic book universe.

If you want something that can handle a comic book universe in it's full glory, don't look to video games where engine limitations prevent much in the way of reality warping. Use things like the Monads or if you really want to go the full monty, the Downstreamers; both made by Stephen Baxter for his scifi novels. The Baxterverse has the advantage of having confirmed multiversal level omnipotents and a colossal scale.

Well, if Shuma Gorath powers are Multiversal then The Prime Evil is getting raped unless he turns into Tathamet. Well, Anu didn't wanted to create realms of existence only hang around before giving birth to Tahemet. Hell, Heaven and Sanctuary and three different realms if existence in Diablo universe but are only stated as "The Three Worlds of the Creation". So we may never know.

You kill Diablo as a Barbarian, or one of the other classes in Diablo. If the Prime Evil is killed by your character in Diablo, any top tier could solo.

In The Lore, four fearless Nephalems defeats it. Not humans. Did you try killing it on higher difficult? And there's a possibility he's still around.

It is believed that such beings as Bul-Kathos, Rathma, and Esu, to name a few, are the first Nephalem to be born, and that their children are the current barbarians, necromancers, and sorceresses whom we know today in the Diablo universe.

The random letter alts guy is still around to say random characters “neg diff the verse”? How many years has it been? This is some serious commitment to trolling. I’m not even upset, just impressed.

considering that the nephilim each one by themselves is more powerul than the heroes of marvel earth on scaling it is safe to say that diablo would clear it as he simply scales above, not only that but the diablo from diablo 3 is basically the original dragon tathamet with the power of all the primal and lesser evils which places him on a completely unreachable level by them on a hierarchical basis

I don’t know. It depends on just where the op was barring Marvel Earth. Remember that characters like Jean Grey, Scarlet Witch, Legion, and so on exist on Marvel Earth.
